3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, sleeps 5, open concept living space

The house rests on a hill overlooking Lake Echo. Tastefully decorated with many of our personnel items. While situated in the middle of the action, it is also quiet and private. In summer we provide a row boat and canoe. A sandy beach and lakeside deck and dock. Fishing and swimming off our dock. A Gazebo and awning at the house shelters one from the sun if you are inclined that way. Sufficient outdoor furniture is provided for sitting and dining out on the deck. Nearby is the world class golf course:Okemo Golf Club, open to the public.

Summer: In summer the house provides sliding doors to the deck, covered by a cloth-screened Gazebo for evening enjoyment. A great place to have breakfast, lunch or dinner, enough seats for everybody. A great front yard.

Boy Scout campgrounds: BBQ pits, beach, swings, a small concession stand, is considered the best kept secret in Vermont and only a short distance (or a long walk) away.

The dock provides fishing, swimming and boating. We provide a row boat, canoe with life jackets and fishing poles. Sorry you have to catch the fish. Golf a Okemo links or Tater Hill. Check out the free local paper, The Message, for midweek discount coupons. Plenty of literature featuring local activities are in the house.

Fall: From the outside deck you will be in no better place to view, morning and evening, the changing of the leaves, (and the busloads of peepers across the lake-smile and wave as they take pictures). You face west looking at the mountain, relax and watch it happen. Cozy up in something warm, have a cocktail or a glass of wine or hot chocolate and forget about everything else.

Plenty of discount shopping at Manchester and Woodstock Vermont. Fall is the Antiquing season in Vermont

A good time to visit Calvin Coolidge Historic House or on Sunday,visit the Monks of the Weston Priory and RC Church at Weston.

Winter: You can enjoy skiing at Okemo or Jackson Gore (4 miles) or Killington (12 miles) or ice skate or ice fish on our lake, sledding, snowmobiling Cross country skiing are available nearby.

Echo Lake, Okemo, Vermont, USA (3 Miles to Okemo/Jackson Gore, Ludlow Vermont) -- In the fall, you have the advantage of watching the leaves turn in all their glory from your own private deck. Perhaps bundled up and having an afternoon glass of wine or cocktail or hot chocolate as you watch the sun set. In the winter, you can enjoy ice fishing; ice skating, skiing, snowmobiling and other winter activities are on the lake or nearby. And, don't forget the XL Whirlpool tub after a day on the slopes. A convenience store is within walking distance. The town of Ludlow is 5 miles away and boasts many fine restaurants. Family friendly Okemo Mountain and Jackson Gore Base are a short ride away. Killington Gondola and Pico are about 12 miles north. The house has a mud room with convenient ski racks allows you to leave your skis here for your next visit.

    $200.per night-with two night minimum
    $475 per week end Friday to Sunday
    $1475 per week Saturday to Saturday
    $500 security deposit-refundable if not needed, for all rentals.
