Council Tree, a 2.25 star rated property, is a cozy rustic cabin just south of Cross Village. The cabin sits on twenty acres of forests and woods with distant Lake Michigan Views. On the patio, there is a charcoal grill and gas BBQ. Enjoy nature and watch for wildlife in the woods. On the front patio and yard there are some distant views of Lake Michigan. Council Tree is the perfect place to get away from it all and enjoy the true Up-North lifestyle. Please note that the home does not have phone, internet, and cable or satellite TV. There is a flat screen TV with a DVD player. The home has basic amenities that do not include internet or AC, however fans are available for those occasional warm summer days. Located between the historic Native American villages of Good Hart and Cross Village on scenic M-119, you can readily embark on day trips. Mackinac Island and quaint Harbor Springs are popular destinations, returning in the evening for S’mores over an evening campfire. Built in the early 1920’s, the cabin has been updated. There are 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Equipped with books, board games and authentic memorabilia related to the historic tribal meetings at the location. There is a laundry, remodeled kitchen, a dining room that feels like it’s "in the trees", and a family room with numerous windows and a large stone fireplace. Heaters in the bathrooms as well as the fireplace are the primary source of heat for this cottage. When renting during the cooler seasons space heaters can be provided for the bedrooms.
