This is a lovely tree-lined street with tall white buildings in the heart of Notting Hill. The area is probably better known for the antique markets on Portobello Road, and, of course, the film of the same name which starred Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant! There is a wonderful array of restaurants nearby and the flat is superbly located for all the main London attractions being on the Central, Circle and District tube lines and with a great supply of buses.
Our flat is situated on the second floor (no lift). Enter this elegantly decorated apartment into a delightful well lit hallway. To your left there is a large sitting room which faces to the rear of the building. Your view out of the large sash window is over a rather wonderful tree making it feel very tranquil and obscuring any other buildings.
The sitting room is extremely homely and comfortable and centres around a gas fireplace. There is a large dining table with four chairs. There is also a double sofabed suitable for 1, possibly 2 people at an additonal cost - please see rates.
To the other side of the hallway is a large light and airy bedroom with King size bed or twin beds and plenty of cupboard space.
Also facing to the front of the building there is a small but practical kitchen with a washer dryer, microwave, oven and a fridge freezer. The compact bathroom has a shower over the bath.
Sleeps 2 - 4 people.
Minimum one week, but thereafter additional nights are pro-rated.

We have had a great time, can't believe it has been almost two weeks -- thank you for arranging this, we've really enjoyed staying in an apartment rather than a hotel.
The communication was good between manager and the area is perfect. However the flat itself needs some TLC. The furniture in sitting room is worn out and very stained as is the carpet and we found the beds to be rather uncomfortable. I was a little disappointed with that as the pictures do not show this and for the price I was expecting the best. The flat is also on the third floor which for some would not suit. However we enjoyed our stay and the maid who greeted was very friendly.
Having lived in England for over six years growing up, my sister and I were eager to make a trip back as a tribute to our parents and to walk down "Memory Lane". This apartment met all of our criteria and more. It had a wonderful traditional English decor and feel that took us back in time. The vase of fresh-cut yellow roses was a welcoming touch.
While in a nice, quiet, lovely neighborhood, the apartment was in close walking distance to the Underground Railroad with great access to everywhere, including food markets and restaurants.
The kitchen was well-equipped and the bathroom was roomy with a nice, deep, long tub. The Living/Dining area and bedroom were both spacious.
A wonderful home-base for a memorable trip!
We rented the Notting Hill apartment for a week and could not have been more pleased. The place looks even better than the pictures - large, sunny, spotless, quiet. Even the sleeper sofa was comfortable (which is rare!). Hot water and a strong shower made the stay perfect. Coming home from a long day wandering around London, it was great to be able to put our feet up and relax in the comfort of the apartment - it was so much better than a hotel.
Sue was a great help in arranging our stay, very prompt to respond to inquiries. We were let into the apartment upon arrival in London - there was someone waiting to let us in (along with fresh flowers!). Even during the stay, our questions were immediately answered. No problems with the financial transactions, the process was safe and secure.
The location was ideal. Just a few minutes walk to the Central/District Lines and a number of busses - easy to arrive from the airport (LHR), and simple to get around London during our stay. The area is beautiful - very high end, incredibly safe. The Portobello Road market is just around the corner, great pubs and restaurants in the neighborhood, and supermarket right down the street. Everything you need is a couple of minutes away.
We're planning on an annual trip, and are looking forward to returing to our Notting Hill home away from home next year!
After leaving my husband in Paris to return home to Australia, my dear girlfriend and I had a fabulous week in London during the Diamond Jubilee festivites. I had researched this property many months previously and it was a delight to arrive at Notting Hill to a beautifully clean apartment with fresh flowers in the lounge room. The photos displayed on the internet were accurate, the location excellent and the owner could not have been more helpful and considerate. One has to remember that this is an old building, so there is no lift and the apartment is on the 3rd floor. There are creaks and squeaks that are characteristic of a building this age which just add to its charm.
The apartment has a cosy, intimate feel and after a long day sight seeing it is a pleasure to relax in the lovely lounge room. The beds were extremely comfortable and the shower hot and strong.
We had a wonderful week.
This darling Notting Hill flat was absolutely perfect. Heart of London, the management company, was especially accommodating. I have no hesitations in recommending this rental - this is a terrific find!
Upon arrival at Pembridge Crescent we were welcomed by a quintessential English home, complete with chintz fabrics and hunting scenes on the wall, and two vases of fresh flowers. I always have fresh flowers in my own home and this touch made me feel instantly welcome. The spic’n’span flat has a cozy, lived-in feel that allowed us to truly relax, but the spaces were large enough us for us to spread out. Another great touch, the grocery service. For a small fee, we were provided with coffee, tea, milk, juice, eggs, bread, butter, etc. It was terrific having a few breakfast items, especially that first morning. The Pembridge Crescent flat definitely sports all the necessary amenities -- an efficient kitchen, comfy beds made up the English way with duvets, a washer/dryer, local television, wi-fi, and peace and quiet at the end of the day!
The location of the flat couldn’t be better. Pembridge Crescent is a quiet residential street and Notting Hill is an easy, safe neighborhood from which to access the rest of London. The Tube stop was very close and allowed us to do a week of sightseeing and shopping easily via public transit.
We also spent time just exploring Notting Hill. The local pub, Sun in Splendor, introduced us to the joys of Pimm’s and lemonade. On Portobello Road, we discovered the cupcakes at Hummingbird Bakery, great dinners at Electric Brassiere and bargain shopping finds from the street vendors. As we wandered the area on foot, we came upon upscale Westbourne Grove -- another under-five-minute walk from the flat with stand-out, high-end shops and trendy restaurants (try the first-rate food at 202 and Tom’s Deli). And ethnic restaurants abound in this neighborhood. We ate well during our visit :)
While I’d have no hesitation returning to the Pembridge Crescent flat, this neighborhood experience has me yearning to try out another London neighborhood for my next visit. And I will definitely be booking my accommodations again through the very helpful Heart of London.
This is a comfortable flat conveniently located in a quiet neighbourhood just a few minutes walk to the underground and bus stops. There are excellent food stores and restaurants in the area. We enjoyed the displays and people-watching at the nearby Portobello Road Market on Saturday. Arrangements for rental were well handled.
