Taos Ski Valley Chalet Rental Photos and Description
Downstairs Unit in House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 2-8)
A perfect ski/snowboard place for family vacations. Charming 3-bedroom 2-bath unit on entire ground floor is soundproof from upstairs. 2 bedrooms with queen beds are adjacent to separate bathrooms (1 of these bedrooms has a separate outside entrance); 3rd bedroom has queen & 2 bunk-beds--ideal for children. Perfect for 2 families with 1-2 children each or 3-generation family as grandparents can have entirely separate bedroom/bathroom. Also ideal for 2 couples or 3 singles. Fewer people can rent the unit with only 2 of the 3 bedrooms and no access to the laundry room.
Cozy living/dining/kitchen area has everything--including spices! No one is out of the action stuck in a kitchen. Relaxing cabin decor includes aspen wood ceilings and comfortable furnishings. Free Wi-Fi & local calls. Most cell phones work fine except on the busiest holidays when tower capacity can be overwhelmed, especially for AT&T. On-site owner who loves to ski can provide forgotten items and local information re skiing, lessons, ski/board rentals, restaurants, etc, etc.
Short 5-7 min walk to lifts; optional very very short drive to parking area. 4-wheel drive or AWD strongly recommended for Coyote Lane although roads are plowed regularly; 2nd house in from low-traffic main road (Twining Rd). Assistance with access is possible with call to owner.
Very reasonable SUMMER and FALL get-away rates with popular hiking trails galore, mountain biking, disc golf & mountain lift rides. High temps in the mid-70s. Gorgeous night views of the stars.

Guestbook comments from the owner
NAncy, we left at 6am today. The place was awesome. We had so much fun. Sorry I didn't get to meet you. We left the front door open and keys on the table. Hopefully we will be back. Thanks
Retired university professors with time now for outside activities: downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, camping, hiking, white water kayaking, sea kayaking, fishing, tennis, yoga, photography, painting, exploring the Southwest and South Florida, etc, etc.
We finished building our home in 1989. Recently, the kitchen and both bathrooms were completely remodeled. We have enjoyed our home and the nearby activities tremendously. It’s never ever boring! Dependable snow conditions and reknown skiing; unique tri-cultural area with beauty that truly enchants! No throngs = no lift lines. Trails to match all abilities; Super-great ski school for adults, teens, children; also kiddie/infant care. Delightful summer; great escape from the heat. Spectacular fall; brilliant foliage and great photo opportunities.
WINTER: Great snow conditions with frequent powder; Beautiful sunny blue skies; Starry starry nights! Deeply-discounted ski week lessons; torchlight ski parades Christmas & New Year’s Eves; acclaimed Wine Festival (Jan); awesome extreme ski competition (Mar); wonderful crowd-free family-friendly skiing & snowboarding.
SUMMER: Cool mountain temps with mid-70s highs. Wheeler Peak, NM's highest at 13,161 ft, visible from our street corner. Great hiking, mtn biking including Frazier Mountain Madness (July) with cyclists going directly up our street. Multiple Taos Mountain Music Festivals in summers.
