Serene Cabin retreat

  • 5 of 5

My Husband and I decided to bring in the new year in the beautiful community of Pine, Az. The day we checked in it was snowing and took somewhat longer to get to the cabin due to the weather. When we got there it was just as beautiful, warm & cozy as described. The cabin was very clean and decorated very tastefully. The backyard even though it was buried in about 2 feet of snow, our dog loved it. We did a little 4 wheeling near Strawberry one day and another day went to Payson, both very close by. We took strolls in the woods. My daughter joined us for a couple of days and we hung out on the porch playing games and watching deer, elk, havelina and a wolf pass by. It was so relaxing and this cabin had everything we could need or want. Thank you!!!

AWESOME VACATION CABIN

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I have rented many places, here in Arizona and in California. This was by far the best place we have stayed at. Don's cabin is a really clean and beautiful cabin. We were in love the minute we stepped inside. The beds were very comfortable and WE have never slept on such clean and fresh sheets in any of our stays. If you plan on renting near Payson or Pine or Strawberry, then don't pass this cabin up. You will not be disappointed. We had to call Don on our directions, he is a very nice person to work with, very helpful on any info of the cabin or the surrounding area. DO NOT PASS THIS CABIN RENTAL UP. Clean, Beautiful, Comfortable, Really nice front porch for morning coffee too. Elk come right through the back yard just beyond the yard fence. We saw ELK every day in the neighborhood. Will come back again to Don's.

Embraced by nature

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and the accommodations at Cabin in the Pines. It allowed us to experience nature (birds, elk, deer, wolf) right from the cabin porch. It also is located near our favorite stomping grounds on the Rim. There are a few things of special note about this cabin: 1. We have NEVER in all the times we have rented cabins found bedding that was actually as clean as at this cabin. The pillows and blankets were as fresh as the nicely ironed sheets. (Most often we have ended up washing sheets prior to using a place and avoiding their "stinky" pillows!) 2. The furniture was very comfortable which added to a relaxing stay. 3. Having a noon check out allowed us to gather things in the morning without wasting the day before to pack. 4. Having a fenced yard for our 2 dogs was great. There was no need to worry about them running off to chase some "critter" (albeit it animal or human!). 5. The cabin is well stocked with all the cooking conveniences one would need. And, lastly, 6. The decor was pleasant and tasteful both inside and out. We particularly liked all the little unique birdhouses set up in the trees throughout the yard. We had a perfect view from the porch of a couple of western bluebirds nesting in one of the houses. We appreciate the owners for sharing their cabin. Don was very accommodating and pleasant to work with.

A Festive Thanksgiving Home!

  • 5 of 5

This is a lovely and very well appointed home, in a beautiful location. Our 3 generations, ages 6-66, enjoyed everything about the Tyler home....a well equipped kitchen (where we cooked thanksgiving dinner)....3 spacious and very comfortable bedrooms....a large fenced backyard, for Lana the dog and many horseshoe games....plenty of group space where we played games, read books, watched very little football, ate yummy meals, enjoyed Leppert's Ice Cream (from Hawaii and imported to Pine, AZ!). It is easy to get to great hiking trails. This home would be fun any time of the year, and we expect to be back! (The drive from the Phoenix metropolitan area is on excellent roads, with fabulous scenery.) Many thanks to our hosts.

Everything you want

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed here for a few days to get away and relax. What a wonderful place to just be. Everything you could want is waiting for you: comfortable space, all amenities plus!, quiet surroundings, easy access. The cottage is well-stocked with all types of food extras so cooking is easy and all the utensils you ever need are all there. The living room area is large and homey. The bedrooms are comfortable and the bathrooms are well kept. The yard is great for dogs and just to relax in the evenings after cooking on the grill. The front porch is perfect for morning coffee and bird watching. nearby hiking trails are quick and user friendly. This is the place if you're looking for a well-managed place where the owners make it easy for you to enjoy yourself. Highly recommended!
