Perfect (small) family vacation - We are 3!

Overall, we had an excellent vacation, from the condo itself, to the location of the condo, to the proximity to all the amenities San Diego had to offer. The condo is an end unit next to the stairs, so there was great proximity to the garage, but without any noise from the stairwells. It was a short walk through the beautiful grounds to the beach access. My son loved the Koi pond - those fish are huge!! Coming from the Midwest, we were a little surprised the condo didn't have central heating, but there were plenty of space heaters, which we didn't use; we just grabbed an extra blanket for the bed. We did take full advantage of the gas fireplace in the living room! The condo and furnishings, including the kitchen, were perfect for our purposes. We had breakfast each morning in the condo, and then were off to a fun-filled day exploring all the attractions in and around San Diego. We never drove more than 45 minutes to anything! We tried a few of Georgi's suggested restaurants - the walk to Ruby's Diner on the pier was brisk but well worth it - my son LOVED the chocolate milk shakes. The service at the cafe in the old house was a bit slow, but the charm of the place made up for it. We ventured on our own to a great little italian place called Rosalina's. You'll have to Google it to find it, but well worth the adventure. The restuarant doesn't look like much - sitting in a strip mall in a corporate park but, on the inside, you'll swear you're sitting in an Italian cafe. The food was absolutely outstanding - served by Rosalina herself! Dinner at King's Fish House was excellent, though a bit pricey. For those familiar with Chicago - I'd liken it to Shaw's. Again, coming from the midwest, I was amused at all the places where you had to wait to sit indoors, but there was always immediate seating on the outdoor patios, which always came with portable heaters. In sum, a great condo in a great location. I would definitely rent from Georgi again. Thanks for a memorable vacation!!!
