Pancho Verde in Sayulita offers a comfortable and unique blend of old Mexico and modern craftsmanship. Rustic front gates open to a secure and comfortable courtyard, great for entertaining or simply relaxing. While the indoor living space is inviting with windows for ventilation, fans, comfy couches and a TV, you will find that you are drawn to the outdoors where an additional L-shaped couch in the courtyard offers views of lush vegetation, the dipping pool and eclectic decor.
The split level design at Pancho Verde in Sayulita makes it great for two couples or families with kids to share space without being too close. Upstairs master suite boasts a new king bed, private bath with indoor/outdoor shower, private palapa covered patio with hammocks, safe for valuables, fan and AC. The second bedroom offers a new queen size bed with fan and is located on the main level, along with the living space where built-in couches provide two additional twin beds, great for kids, friends or a third couple. The second bathroom is also on the main level as well as an office space with wireless and a well-appointed full kitchen.
Extending to the courtyard from the kitchen window is an outdoor eating bar, perfect for enjoying a drink and chatting with the chef. Kid friendly, the additional amenities include pack-n-play bed, beach toys, umbrella and boogie board. Pancho Verde is nestled at the end of a quiet street, with space to explore. Close enough to town/beach (easy 7 min walk) but far enough that you hear the sounds of nature rather than plaza fiestas. Tranquil and inviting, Pancho Verde in Sayulita is the perfect retreat.

Guestbook comments from the manager
Upon arrival at Pancho Verde we were greeted by a very friendly property manager, who then led us on a tour of the estate. The visual appeal of Pancho Verde becomes evident as you enter through the ornamental front gate and emerge into an attractive tiled courtyard bordered by a decorative fountain, and equipped with chairs, tables, sofa–benches, and an outdoor shower. This space proved to be very functional for those of staying on the downstairs level – and an ideal space for eating and our child to run around. A set of wooden doors provides access to the first level of the house that includes a bedroom with queen sized bed, kitchen, and a living space with small seating area. This part of the house was cozy and stylish, and the well–equipped kitchen included ample cooking supplies for our five day stay. The large first floor bathroom is very attractive with a tile sink and large spacious shower.
The second level is access by a stairwell on the far side of the courtyard; entering the upstairs patio is definitely a "wow" moment as you step into a large upstairs patio nestled under a large thatched canopy with views of Sayulita’s heavily forested hillsides and residential areas. Equipped with a small table, chairs, hammock, and other interesting decorative features, this space proved to be ideal for socializing with other members of our party and great for putting your feet up and relaxing at the end of the day. The adjoining bedroom has sliding glass doors that open to the patio and windows that provide a 300 degree view of the surrounding landscape; even on its high perch, this space is sufficiently private – and very relaxing, making you feel as if you slipped away to a distant tropical island. The view of the forest and feel of fresh air in the upstairs bathroom further enhanced the experience. While not in the center of town, the plaza is a short walk away and we enjoyed the short jaunt to breakfast each morning. Pancho Verde is a thoughtfully designed and well equipped house that can comfortably accommodate two families, with separate entrances to each level. The upstairs and downstairs can be connected by opening a door on the first level to further connect each level – helpful for shuttling cocktails between floors. Close proximity to Punta de Mita Highway offers easy access for out of town adventures as well. Would highly recommend.
We have been visiting Sayulita for many years and absolutely love the town, the beaches, the people, the surfing, the lifestyle!
Pancho Verde is located in an authentic neighborhood, at the end of a quiet street. With all of the festivities in town, it's great to have an inviting casa to retreat to that feels slightly remote yet only blocks from the town and beach. The short walk to town is completely flat so walking or biking is easy and comfortable. Pancho Verde has the perfect balance of indoor/outdoor living which is so desirable in such a warm climate. The dipping pool is a great spot to cool off yet safe for children as they can't stumble into since it is above ground. And the fountain offers a lovely sound and visual.
