We have both travelled extensively, are originally from the United States and moved here in 2018. My husband and I both fell in love with the land, the people, the culture and built our own homes here. We are recently retired and decided to open up our second home as a rental, to provide extra income plus we both enjoy meeting new people. We wanted to live outside the rush of the city life and more with the locals in an agricultural setting. Choosing just outside of La Fortuna in with the local Tico and Ticas of El Tanque de San Carlos which is best known for their many dairies and agricultural crops of plantains, pineapples, yuca to name a few. As I mentioned, we chose this agricultural rural setting as we didn’t want the city life. We wanted to grow our own foods, San Carlos area is known for their rains and great volcanic growing soil, plus our quaint little spot has a beautiful view of Arenal volcano.
