Even though we employ a cleaning services, at least once a month we personally clean the out of the way corners and places that are overlooked by the service. This the cleanest and better appointed you will find in the area.

We have a business and live in Orlando. The condo is primarily for our own enjoyment. Most of our renters are friends and long time past renters.We bought the unit in January 2010 and have since totally renovated it including new carpets and drapes, Flat Screen High Definition LCD TV/DVD just to mention a few. We first looked at New Smyrna but found Daytona Beach Shores offers so much more for your money, for instance, there was not building we could find in Smyrna that offered the luxury, security, posh look and privacy the Sand Dollar has. There is no way an unwanted visitor can gain access to the building, let alone our unit.
The private, ginormous balcony has a 180 degree uninterrupted oceanfront view of the Atlantic Ocean from North to South as far as the eye can see. The Balcony is definitely the best feature and the one that sold us.

Very safe and secure building, very close to our home.
Only 5 units per floor, 55 units total so it never crowded.
We traded cold and snow for warm blue skies and a mesmerizing ocean view. From the secure parking and building to the tastefully decorated condo and fully stocked kitchen our wants and needs were met.
We spent 18 days here and can't wait to come next year for longer.
Juan, the owner, was so easy to work with. Promptly answered our emails and phone calls.
The location was on the beach and I was able to take long walks everyday. There were a few cars on the beach but there are designated lanes so no problem for the beach people.
Grocery store and restaurants are a short walk. My favorite was Crabby Joe's at the pier. There's even a drive-in Christian Church just a couple of blocks down from the condo.
The condo itself had all the conveniences we wanted. Having a washer/dryer right in the condo was a major plus.
Probably the best thing is the 180 degree ocean view from the balcony (the balcony itself is oversized with both table/chairs and lounge chairs). I watched many a sunrise from that balcony! Oh- there's a pool and hot tub too.
Can't wait to come back next year!

We felt right at home when we walked into your beautiful condo. The unit is very well maintained and the master bedroom mattress was so comfortable to sleep on with new pillows to lay your head on. I was very impressed with the kitchen with everything you could possibly need to make our own meals. I would love to come back again and would recommend this condo to anyone who wants to rent a home away from home.
My family and I rented this condo and enjoyed all the treasures of Daytona Beach. This condo was a great home away from home for us during our stay. Everything was clean and neat. The view of the ocean was priceless! I recommend this condo to all.

The unit and facilities were very clean, well maintained and furnished above normal, especially in regards to the kitchen. As a family of 3, we had had everything we needed for the week to make all our meals from scratch. The master bedroom mattress was great and brand new and we both slept well. All linens were provided and in great condition. Furniture was in great condition. The view from on the balcony which extended from the living room to the master bedroom was fantastic and provided a 180 degree view of Daytona Beach. Probably one of the best balconies I’ve been on in Daytona (At least I was happy) during our time here things were very relaxed and quiet from surrounding units. This seemed to be a very family orientated building.
Our communication with the owner was very responsive, either through phone or email. He was professional, organized and addressed any questions we had prior to booking the property. Booking and logistics were a breeze and very prompt based upon our last minute planning.
The Sand Dollar is a great property complex that was well maintained, clean and secure. There is a pool, hot tub and exercise room on premise. The building management has a zero tolerance for out of line guests. There are full time residents at this building as well as rentals. So respect and consideration was of no problem. Main parking is underneath the main building which is accessed directly from the main street, it requires a security card. The main complex and grounds required a security key for access to all exterior doors and the back pool area. A code was required to access pool area and property from the beach. Publix grocery shopping is a close walk/drive as well as other dining and other convenience stores.
I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone staying in the Daytona Shores area.

This was our second time staying in this unit. We stayed here a few years ago. My wife and I still love it. We get to visit our son and Daughter in law who live in Jacksonville and we fly in from Texas to visit with them for a week on the beach. No stress at all. There are many places to eat out and just relax and enjoy doing nothing at all. I highly recommend it!
