I am not a fan of all inclusives, I prefer to experience the people and surroundings at a more "down to earth" level. I stayed at Lisa and Altheia's condo with my girlfriend, our husbands were not along. The location could not have been better. Since we were 2 middle aged females we did not go out late at night, our evenings were spent on the balcony watching the lit up cruise ships leave, listening to music from the Twisted Kilt across the street and people watching!! In the morning we would sit out on that amazing balcony and watch the city wake up, all the catamarans from nearby resorts would moor right in front of us and we could watch all the patrons jump off to swim and snorkel. We walked to many different eateries for lunch and supper, hired a driver for some fun daytrips including ziplining which is my new fave!! Every second day was beach day, at Dr. Caves, purchasing some fresh fruit each day from Hazel (she has a HUGE basket under the stairs ), she would cut it up for us and we would bring it to the beach for a snack). You can purchase almost everything in the store on the second floor, best of all Juici Pattis brought in fresh, I think they are about $1.20 each and soooo tasty. Merle (the housekeeper) kept the place sparkling and was a joy to meet, she even called us to make sure everything was alright. The linens on the bed were crisp and white including as well as the selection of clean pillows The apartment has everything you could possibly need, we lacked nothing and loved the air conditioning as it was so nice and warm outside. Lots of good shopping near by, and we walked all the way downtown for ice cream!! Walking in the opposite direction we walked to Dead End Beach where there is a new little mall which had a cafe and dessert place and also a grill where we enjoyed Achee and Saltfish for breakfast. You can walk to the Pork Pit, the Pelican, Christels, China House, The Buccaneer, Margaritaville and many more places. When we didn't feel like the beach we just went up to the pool, it was always clean and refreshing, spent a couple late afternoons enjoying the water and the view and just chillaxing reading and soaking up the rays!!
Thank you to Lisa who did not hesitate to return my emails when I had questions to ask, she was a pleasure to correspond with. Thank you again and I would not hesitate to reccomend this apartment.
