Only 30 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport, Summit Lodge is the highest private property situated above Summit Park bordering Utah State Park. Situated at 7800' in a mature dense forest, the lodge enjoys privacy while providing incredible 100-mile vistas of the Wasatch Mountain Range. It is within 15-30 minutes of six (6) world class ski resorts including Deer Valley, Park City, Cannons, Brighton, Alta and Snowbird and adjacent to trail-heads for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and extreme mountain biking.
Summit Lodge is constructed of logs and timbers with interior walls and ceilings made of cedar planks. The floors are stone and black walnut and the counters are granite. To further its natural warm ambiance there are 6 stone gas-log fireplaces including one massive real log-burning FP in the Great Room. If someone prefers to stay indoors, they will find satellite flat screen TVs, Bose surround sound system, wireless internet, computer, printer, and a large selection of DVDs, books and games for those snowy days.
The 3 Master Suites are set up as follows (4th caretaker apt. available for additional fee)::
1. Upper East Suite (2 adults) - Cal King, FP and sitting area, full bath, double Steam/Shower, HDTV, private deck.
2. Upper West Suite (6 adults) - Cal King, loft/4 XL Twins, copper tub en suite, full bath, Steam/Shower, FP, HDTV, private deck.
3. Lower West Suite (2 adults) - Cal King, full bath, Steam/Shower, HDTV, adjacent to the Den with its own FP, HDTV and can provide additional sleeping space for kids.
Detached Owner Occupied Caretaker's Suite/apartment available for additional fee: sleeps 4 adults, Cal King, log bunk/2 XL Twins, full bath with large walk-in shower, FP, HDTV, private deck.
The Great Room includes a gourmet kitchen has an over-sized island seating 9 around a 48' Blue Star gas range. (Costco and Whole Foods are just 20 minutes down the mountain). There are two Bosch dishwashers, 48' Sub Zero, pantry, electric oven, micro, etc. All utensils for cooking and dining are available. The dining area seats another 16 and the real log-burning fireplace captivates a large gathering on those cold nights.
And for those who want to enjoy nature at its finest, we offer a oversized wooden hot tub made of white cedar timbers that seats 12 adults... the best in Park City!
There is also a laundry room with front-loading washer and dryer for your use. There are snow-shoes of different sizes, an elliptical machine and dumbbells to keep you toned up.
While the roads leading to the home are plowed often by the county, we strongly recommend only four-wheel drive vehicles attempt to reach Summit Lodge in winter. If you like snow, this is the place to be.
