Only 30 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport, Summit Lodge is the highest private property situated above Summit Park bordering Utah State Park. It is within 15-30 minutes of six (6) world class ski resorts including Deer Valley, Park City, Cannons, Brighton, Alta and Snowbird and adjacent to trail-heads for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and extreme mountain biking.
Summit Lodge is constructed of logs and timbers with interior walls and ceilings made of cedar planks. The floors are stone and black walnut and the counters are granite. To further its natural warm ambiance there are 6 stone gas-log fireplaces including one massive real log-burning FP in the Great Room. There are two Bosch dishwashers, 48' Sub Zero, pantry, electric oven, micro, etc. All utensils for cooking and dining are available. The dining area seats another 16 and the real log-burning fireplace captivates a large gathering on those cold nights.
And for those who want to enjoy nature at its finest, we offer a oversized wooden hot tub made of white cedar timbers that seats 12 adults... the best in Park City!
There is also a laundry room with front-loading washer and dryer for your use. There are snow-shoes of different sizes, an elliptical machine and dumbbells to keep you toned up.
While the roads leading to the home are plowed often by the county, we strongly recommend only four-wheel drive vehicles attempt to reach Summit Lodge in winter. If you like snow, this is the place to be.

A place for hiking, relaxing by the fireplaces, or soaking in the hot tubs. For those who will cook, a beautiful kitchen. Bedrooms and beds that are welcoming and restful. Living & dining areas and decks that are great for groups. This home feels like a resort in and of itself, it is gorgeous! Spacious enough for those who want to socialize and have fun and for those who want some quiet time. The home and furniture are of impeccable taste and scrupulously clean. Park City - was very close and had a Sunday fair/market/music, also some great pubs and restaurants. We couldn't have asked for anything more. A wonderful place for a great time! The owner was very helpful in providing help and answering questions.
This home is truly spectacular! The photos do not do it justice. Six of us went out to Park City for some spring skiing and had a fantastic time. Like some of the reviewers mentioned, we were happy to hang out at the house instead of spending time in Park City. Every window has spectacular mountain top views. We had an all around great stay. Marie was also a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend.
Our extended family spent the most memorable Thanksgiving to date in this beautiful home..."High on a Mountain Top"... (Be sure to use a 4-wheel drive vehicle if there is snow.) The views are spectacular and the pictures do not do the inside justice. The inside is comparable to a German castle... beautiful! Marie was a dream to work with on making it our destination vacation for this Thanksgiving and many more to come.
My husband and I, our 3 young children, parents in law and my brother had a fantastic ski holiday at Park City. There was ample room in the house for everyone to relax and have their own space, and then come together for meals, a hot tub, or sit around the beautiful, large wood fireplace. The house is stunning with more than adequate amenities and full of character including the bedrooms and bathrooms.
The owner was incredibly helpful, we flew in late at night and Marie did a grocery shop for us, set the baby's crib up and there were even fresh flowers on the table!
The home is beautiful, and very luxurious. The hot tub is big and warms up faster than any hot tub I've seen before. I highly recommend AWD or 4x4 if you're visiting for a ski season, it's pretty much the last hill on the mountain which makes for fabulous views. We hope we get a chance to stay here again.
A total of 10 of us were here for Spring Break, 5 adults and 5 kids. What a week. The kids would ask to go home after snowboarding instead of hanging out in Park City. The listing was accurate but really did not make us fully appreciate what a wonderful home it was, and the photos only present a small taste of what to expect. The owner could not have been more helpful, we came in quite late on the first night and she made sure some first day provisions were available so when we awoke we could make breakfast and get on with our day.Just walking in the door made everyone happy with our choice and the home could not have been better stocked, it made you want to stay home and cook every night instead of going out. What a clean, comfortable and pleasant environment to come home to and the views, WOW!
My sons would wake up and hit the Hot Tub and then as soon as we came home more Hot Tub time. What a hit. The views from the Hot Tub made you just want to spend all your down time there.
Although the road to the house is quite steep, having 4 wheel drive seems like a must ,it was an easy drive up or down, even in the snow and it's not so far off the Interstate to be of any concerns, the drive to Park City was about 20 minutes .
I would highly recommend this home to a friend ,relative or stranger. We could have not been more pleased with our choice.
Thanks again Marie for a wonderful week. Sorry it took me so long to write this review, it was long overdue.
