Beautiful furnished 2 bedroom, master bedroom has king size bed, 2nd bedroom has 2 twin beds, 1 full bath with Jacuzzi and separate large shower and a private half bath in guess room. It is on the corner of Esplanade and Royal St. and 2 blocks from Frenchman with many restaurants and jazz clubs. You get the best of both worlds, the French Quarter and Frenchmen St. where the locals hang out. It is a quiet residential area , yet a few blocks away from the action and fun.

It is located on Esplanade Ave & Royal St in the French Quarter. Hardwood floors throughout, high ceilings, granite counter tops, stainless appliances, mahogany cabinets, Jacuzzi tub and party shower in bathroom.

Gorgeous chandelier's. Completely furnished including linens & utensils in kitchen. Prime location, walk to the Quarter and the Marigny for live entertainment daily / nightly.

Large front porch with swing overlooking the French Quarter. Close to many famous restaurants and all the activities the French quarter has to offer.

great location

We enjoyed our stay here very much! The location of this property was the best, as it bordered the quarter and the Marigny. The owner came over to help with wifi problem right away, which was appreciated! You can walk anywhere or catch the streetcar (3 blocks walk) to get just about anywhere a tourist might want to go. The house itself is old, but parts have been nicely updated and the beds were comfy. We felt safe here and enjoyed our time in New Orleans!

Title says it all. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Sleeping four is a bit tight, but the couch is reasonable choice if you'd rather have more room. Great spot.

Super location!

The owners very accommodating regarding an early check-in and late check-out due to no one staying at the home immediately prior to or immediately after our stay. The home is very comfortable with plenty of towels, dishes, etc. There are 2 bedrooms - one with a king and one with a day bed and trundle. Small powder room in addition to the full bath, but this did not pose a problem - even with 4 women! Would stay here again - felt safe even though we were so close to the French Quarter. Thanks for a great weekend!

Pretty Shotgun in Nice Location

Only a few blocks from great Jazz on Frenchman Street and along the east border of French Quarter, we walked or took public transportation most of the week. The house was a great find for our family of 5 adults, with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and capability to sleep one in the living room on the l-shaped couch.. We definitely had the feel of "living" in New Orleans with this handsome home. We would love to come back.

Know Before You Go...

Let me start with the positives. The home is in a great location and the home itself is in average condition. We were able to walk everywhere. New Orleans is a wonderful city and we fell in love with the locals. That's it. Now to the negative. The homeowner is very unprofessional and is impossible to get a hold of. Up until 2 days before check in I still had no idea how to get into home or if we still had the reservation. Email, home phone cell phone tried them all numerous times. Finally received a call back with the information. Thank goodness there was no emergency with the home as I'm sure we would have been on our own. This home will only sleep 4 if someone wants to sleep on the couch. There is one bedroom with a king bed and a second bedroom with a day bed. You have to go through the master bedroom to get to the small bedroom. This would be awkward for adults. This didn't bother us as we are two elderly adults but good information for future renters. Parking is hard to find and the parking permits left in the unit were expired and had been for many months. Now for the shocking part. This home is a duplex! You share a front porch, back porch and an utility room with another unit. So, you hear the other guests walking, talking, eating, watching tv, etc. but this is still not the biggest problem. Three weeks after returning home I had to start contacting the homeowner for the refund of our deposits. Again, they are impossible to contact. Four weeks later I am still fighting to get our deposits back even though all parties agree that there is no damage. Home away/VRBO want you to work this out with the homeowner. We have retained an attorney to try to get this resolved. Such a big headache. I hate that it takes only one homeowner to ruin this wonderful concept of renting a home. You are truly taking your money, giving it to a complete stranger and hope they do the honest thing. I wish someone else owned this home and that we were told in the description that it was a duplex. Then I would have given it 5 stars.

Excellent place to stay.

While admitting this will make it more difficult for me to use again... this was the best place I have ever stayed. Previously I have stayed in hotels in the French Quarter. This home offered the best of all. It is immaculately clean. It is on a street that offers quick access to all the activities of the French Quarter while remaining a quiet place to rest in between all the activities. It is large and spacious. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking a meal so you don’t have to eat out. The bathroom is spectacular. The bed rooms and very spacious and located away from the front of the house so you hear virtually no street noise.
