This place was terrific. Much bigger than I thought and it was very cozy. The river in the backyard was beautiful too. Highly recommend.
What a great alternative place to stay at instead of the cabins at Knoebels campground. For the same amount of money you get your own full bathroom, fully functioning kitchen (including a crock-pot!), firewood, canoe/rafts and privacy. I would highly recommend staying here (even though I'd rather keep it a secret). You will need charcoal for the grille, and maybe a couple of your own camping chairs. I would also recommend bringing a board game or two in case it rains like it did for us half of a day. We left a jenga style game there for future occupants. Also, we met a furry neighbor named Rusty (big brown dog) - what a great pup! He likes to swim and play fetch, but don't get concerned when he's in the water, he loves to just swim in circles :) He only lives two houses away and know's his way home. We WILL be back!
Cottage was very clean. Owner came over to great us when we arrived and explained TV to us. Sleeps 6 but bedroom only has full bed. Queen would be better. Kids loved the enclosed porch and the creek out back.
We stayed here two years ago for a one night get away without our three little ones. We loved it and decided to bring the kids this past June. It is spacious, close to Bloomsburg University (where we are alumni) and right on the creek. It is also about 15 minutes from Knoebels. We loved having a campfire with the kids and getting cozy in the spacious living room to watch a movie together. The long screened in porch is great for morning coffee or afternoon reading. We plan to return as often as possible!
We had a wonderful stay! Our boys ages 3 and 1 loved it. It has basically everything you may need. Just bring your own towels and blankets and your good to go. We did knoebels park, and water park, and went to reptile land. The owner Doug lives right next door which is really convenient, especially if you lock yourself out, lol. He was very nice and offered to bring us anything we needed. We brought our own life vests and went out on the kanoe. The gps will stop a few houses short but it's pretty obvious by the pictures on here which house it is. We plan on coming back next time we come up to Knoebels!
My husband, nephews and I had a wonderful relaxing weekend at the cottage. Even with warm temperatures the cottage stayed comfortable without even needing the a/c. The boys fished and used the rafts on the creek. We didn't have charcoal along to use the grill but were able to improvise using the grate on the campfire. Overall it was a great weekend and we look forward to visiting again.
