About Alicia Kinney
We are two software engineers in the bay area. We bought a cabin because we loved snowboarding!
We love food and cooking at home, we have large family feasts when we go up there. We usually hike, snowboard and curl up.
We have been renting this place for about 7 years now and had the luxury of renting to repeat families that come annually. Families have started moving away and things change so we are opening this cabin up this year - to see how it works out.
The cabin is very lovingly maintained by a young couple that live in the area, loved by families who have been coming for many years now, before we had the privilege of owning it. We hope to attract people who will appreciate it as much as we have.
Alicia Kinney purchased this cabin in 2005
Why Alicia Kinney chose Soda Springs
We fell in love with this cabin - it is beautiful, unique, well-kept, warm (cozy but not small) and unassuming. Of all the ones we saw, we loved this one the most. It is serene where it is, yet easy to get to. We rarely get snowed in even if the pass does shut down (we are located before Donner pass), it permits us to beat the traffic in and out of Tahoe. It takes us exactly 3 hrs to get to the cabin from San Francisco. The residents and community is tight-knit, warm and family/community oriented.
What makes this cabin unique
Play space in the loft for kids, with a TV/DVD and videos for kids and adults! Cabin is stocked with novels and old maps and guides for the outdoor lover! Close to Soda Springs snow tubing area - particularly awesome for little kids!
