House, 2 Bedrooms + Sleeping Porch, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4)

This home is a replica of a Victorian cottage with authentic details in and out.

The front porch has 120 year old brackets supporting the roof with cast iron railings. The living area has old pine floors with travertine in one bath and the kitchen, the other bath has marble floors. Our kitchen cabinets are made from antique cypress materials from old New Orleans homes. All appliances are upgrade. Furnishings are either custom made or antiques. One bedroom has a cypress four posted bed and the other an antique high back oak bed. A screened porch has outside dining and an additional sleeping area. An attached deck has another table and chairs as well as a gas grill. A small burn pit is perfect for cool nights.

About The Owner

My wife and I lived in Bay St Louis for twenty years before Hurricane Katrina destroyed our home. We relocated to New Orleans for our jobs and only recently have been able to rebuild in "The Bay".

Bay St Louis is a unique small town known for its Art community and gulf side charm. Originally a summer playground for New Orleanians in the 19th century, it is now a charming collection of antique shops, restaurants, and of course casinos!

What makes this house unique

Our home is in a quiet neighborhood just three blocks from the bay and a few miles to Olde Town and the beaches. It is an oasis of serenity near all the activity you could want

Perfect Place

We've been spending 2 months on the Mississippi Gulf coast for the past 4 years. The Victorian Cottage is by far our best choice. Conveniently located on the coast in a serene neighborhood perfect for walks. The house was clean, comfortable with all the comforts of home...and then some. We watched the Kiddy Mardi Gras parade from the open front porch and solved the worlds problems while drinking beer on the screened back porch. Bill and Gigi are wonderful no nonsense hosts who don't burden the renter with fees. We will definitely be back.

What a Superior Rental!!

This rental is more wonderful than anyone could expect.
If you want to get away - really get away, go to the Bay and STAY HERE. You will definitely get more than you paid for. The beaches are great and pet friendly. All of the popular attractions are just a short drive away. The owners go beyond expectations to provide all that you need. (The first time I have ever rented a private property and did not have to run to the store to get toilet paper right away! Thank you Bill and Gigi! You could teach a class on, " How to equip your rental property."

Wonderful Spring Break

Stayed 3 nights in this beautiful home during Spring Break. The ammenities and furnsishings in this cottage make you feel right at home. Everything needed was provided and the house is centrally located to New Orleans and Biloxi both about an hour away. Take a lovely walk to the Bay which is right down the street about 3 blocks away or if you feel lucky the Hollywood Casino is only about 2 miles away. Bill was great to work with to set up the reservations on short notice and made us feel welcome. We will definately try to stay here again on our next trip to the area.

Visiting Daughter over Thanksgiving

Bill, We really enjoyed our stay at your Victorian Cottage. We had a wonderfull week long visit with our daughter and her family. They have lived in Bay St. Louis for about 1 1/2 years. The cottage felt just like home and it was good to have some time to ourselves. We really liked the decorating and even went to old town to see more of your handy work. You are quite an artist when it comes to creating furniture out of the cypress wood.. We look forward to staying at your cottage in the future.

We truly love this home. Only wish we lived closer. Everything in this home perfect and very comfortable. Loved being able to walk down the street to the Bay to enjoy the view. The shrimp was the best. We went to Pass Christian marina to enjoy Shaggys and then went across the marina to the shrimp boats, to get the FRESH shrimp to bring home. Every minute was precious at this home and we cannot wait for our next visit.
