Paradise Grove Cottage is the perfect retreat in Sonoma County. Come stay with us and enjoy the tranquility and beauty of Austin Creek with majestic Old Growth redwood trees towering above. Relax and unwind in our little corner of paradise.
This cottage is located just next to the grounds of the award-winning Raymond’s Bakery. While you are here, you are welcome to enjoy a sun-filled afternoon in the garden, take a dip in the Austin Creek swimming hole, play boccie ball relax under the gazebo, or nap under the apple tree. In the evenings you can partake in an old fashioned camp fire
Our bakery is always open Friday through Sunday with local musicians playing on Friday evenings for our Community Pizza, Beer & Wine Night.
Enjoy breakfast in your cottage or come by the bakery to sip a hot latte or espresso made with fresh ground organic fair trade coffee beans on our Redwood patio surrounded by centuries-old trees (our oldest is over 1,200 years old!).
Our cottages allow you to get away from it all! Or stay connected with our free wifi.
In addition to breakfast, Raymond’s Bakery offers sandwiches or pizza for lunch. Friday night is our Community Pizza, Beer & Wine Night, open until 9pm! Just check out our bakery web site (raymondsbakery) for our current seasonal hours. (Sonoma County has many other restaurants to enjoy.)

Some recent reviews from our guest log:
'What a Blessing! Thanks Mark and Elizabeth for sharing Paradise Grove and your inspiring story. We pray that everyone who visits will find the same peace we experienced here. I will be making plans to visit soon and hopefully every year. What a great way to experience our 10 year anniversary. Thanks again, and may God Bless your family and business.'

'Thank you, Mark and Elizabeth!! What a beautiful and enchanting life and property you have created and shared. Such a special gift you have and continue to create... we feel so blessed to have shared in your joy. We will, no doubt, return and enjoy the myriad of pleasure you have offered: peace and quiet, glorious nature, Friday night music, ice-cold beer, the BEST pizza ever, creek walks with the pups... the list goes on and on. For 3 nights and 4 days of wonderment and rejuvenation, we thank you.'

Nine years ago my wife and I fell in love with an abandoned restaurant with four tired cottages on three acres of wild blackberries and old growth redwoods on Austin Creek. It has been an exhausting/exhilarating labor of love that has enriched our lives in more ways than we ever imagined. We hope that you will enjoy it as much as we have!
Mark Weiss purchased this cottage in 2002
We spent nine years walking past this cottage and dreaming of living there someday. Imagining having a cup of coffee on the front deck in the morning with the gentle babble of the creek for company. When it finally came up for sale, we bent over backwards to be able to make our dream come true. We hope that you will enjoy being a part of our dream.
We own and are the bakers at Raymond's Bakery Bed & Breakfast just a three minute walk around the redwoods. So be ready for some gold-medal baked goodies to welcome you to our corner of paradise. We can also share the secrets of a few swimming holes and where to find the best skipping stones. The cottage is directly across from the creek. You can hear the babbling from the bedroom windows as you fall asleep.
We had the pleasure of staying here over Thanksgiving Holiday. Listened to rainfall, under the Redwoods, with creek a stone's throw away! It was delightfully peaceful. This is the 2nd time we've stayed at Elim Grove cottages - and think there isn't a better place on earth to stay and re-energize. Note: the Wedgewood oven doesn't work (stove does). There is a is a counter-top oven that works well. Just glad we weren't planning on roasting a 25 lb turkey!
The cottages are pretty shabby and are overdue for renovation. Please note that the big cottage has a kitchen and a breakfast is NOT included.
For the price, the house was a bit shabby. There were lots of deferred maintenance such as an ancient electric heater in one of the bedrooms, non-working other electric/oil heater.
When we entered the house, the heater was at 51F, and the house was damp and chilly. It took some time to heat it up and even longer for the mattresses to "thaw out".
The location is great and so was the bakery with pastries. We loved it there and would come back if the house was better kept.
This cabin right on the creek was perfect for our family. Clean, safe, outdoor fun stuff, Mark and Elizabeth are WONDERFUL, amazing fresh baked goods and truly lovely people.
We will definitely be back.
The property is amazing and the cottage made for a very relaxing stay. Highly recommended
My family and I visitied last year, my husband and I alone the year before, and we plan to come back again this year...this time with my husband's parents. We LOVE this area, Mark and Elizabeth, their hospitality, their family, their bakery....the list goes on and on! Their breakfasts are outstanding, coffee is SO good, wine and beer is outstanding, pizza is BOMB! We have seen Mark shop and buy locally, what a treat knowing how much love he puts in his pizzas. The location of the home is PERFECT...a few yards from a private creek. My kids can play there forever while hubby and I just take in the scenery. Minutes away is a wonderful beach/river where you can rent kayaks, shaded umbrellas are provided, snack bar on location, etc. About 20-30 minutes away is the oceans shore and great beaches. Armstrong Redwoods is another plus. The drive into Cazadero is wonderful and much preferred to the more rushed Guerneville scene. You will not go wrong with the vibe here. SO serene and wonderful.
