Lovely Home, Ideal Location

This place was built with quality in mind. Such amenities as stone tile make it durable and appealing. Appliances were of good quality, too. The spotless hot tub and use of the pool added to the charm. Three floors, 4 bedrooms, 4 baths gave us space to spread out, which worked well for our family group (2 grandparents plus 2 grown sons and their wives and our 2 grandkids, ages 4 & 7).
The short walk to a beautiful beach was a real plus for our bunch, with such an age range. We spent several delightful hours on that beach, and Ryan has graciously left coolers and beach things--even sand toys for the kids--in the garage for the use of those who stay in the house.
The bedrooms are no longer exactly as shown in the photos. There is still a queen bed, but there are no longer 3 king beds; two are kings and one is a double.
We were accommodated well and overall expectations were met nicely. Our only disappointments were these:
-seeing what people have done by not treating this place as they would their own home (cooktop and some cabinets reflect some rough use)
-having done most of our stays in timeshare-type condos, we've come to expect some small appliances for use in preparing food. This house had plenty of plates, cups, glasses, silverware, and some baking dishes... but not much else--no mixer, no blender, no measuring cups and few utensils--and cabinets were not entirely clean (especially drawers)
We found Ryan to be great to work with, and we'd love to have a chance to return. This was our first HomeAway experience, and we were well pleased.
