This gorgeous three bedroom, 3700 square foot house on ten acres west of town has excellent views of the Sangre de Cristo and Jemez mountains from the large covered patios, which include an outdoor fireplace. Enjoy alfresco cooking and dining in the separate cabana. The home features hand-carved doors, high, beamed ceilings, tile, brick and flagstone floors, and is furnished in a classic style, with oriental and local rugs, and pieces from around the world.
The recently redone king-bedded master suite with fireplace adjoins its large and welcoming bathroom, with a huge tub, walk-in shower, two vanity counters in granite, and custom tile-work everywhere. The other two rooms, one king and one queen have their own private bathrooms (tub/shower combos), patios and closets, and there is a powder room as well. The spacious kitchen features polished sandstone counters, stainless steel appliances, Australian lacewood cabinetry and is open-plan, with attached casual living and breakfast areas.
The more formal dining room has a table for 10, massive wrought-iron chandelier, bar area, fireplace and mountain views, and connects to another living room and the large entry. An additional fireplace warms the extensive east patio, with views up to the Sangre de Cristo mountains. Star-filled skies, quiet nights, pinon fires, mature landscaping, two car garage, large flat-screens with satellite, wi-fi and many other amenities complete this wonderful country retreat, a short six mile drive to the Plaza!

Hi there! I grew up in Santa Fe, and maintain a home here, as we just love being in the clear fresh New Mexico air. We love to ski and cycle in Northern New Mexico. We think you'll enjoy the house-it's a perfect vacation spot: lots of room to relax with friends and family, and very nicely decorated (we think!). Let us know what we can do to make sure you have a great time!
owner/property manager purchased this house in 2003
Quiet, starry nights, awesome weather, huge views, easy access to hiking, biking, walking trails, golf, and a short drive into a unique town to explore.
Stayed for a week and enjoyed coming "home" every time. The place is huge and allows for several couples or a large family to spread out, have some privacy, yet get together for a meal. Kitchen was well stocked with just about everything one would need to cook a meal. On vacation, so only cooked one meal. Only a short drive to Old Town and easy access to the highway.
Just had a fantastic girls weekend at the Casa del Campo. The house itself is lovely and clean. Very much enjoyed the covered patio out back. We will definitely return.
We unfortunately had a very bad experience renting this home in July. The furniture is very worn and rugs smelled of pet urine. The smell in one of the bedrooms was so bad we couldn't stay in it due to a water leak and pet urine. The outdoor grilling area was not kept clean and we had to ask for someone to come mow the grass. The entire time we were there the garbage was not picked up. We cut our 3 week stay short due to all the inconveniences. The property manager said she had re-rented the property for some of those days and would refund some of our money for all our trouble. They never followed through. DO NOT RENT THIS HOUSE!
My husband and I along with two other couples enjoyed Casa Del Campo for five days. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked with appliances, kitchen gadgets, dinnerware and spices, and left us wanting for nothing. We enjoyed all the home's amenities but were very disappointed that the hot tub was out of commission as we believe was originally promised. Instead we loved sitting outside every evening next to a roaring fire. Thank you to the owners for sharing your lovely home; it truly was a home away from home. As a recommendation to the management company, it would have been nice to have been supplied with ample firewood.
Was very suprprised by the electrical cords running from "sun/half kitchen" directly to outside. Multiple extension cords to machines in sunroom/kitchen and the machines (refrig/freezer I think). Fuse blown in sunroon and after call was never notified it had been fixed. Fireplace drafted poorly, No sink in sun room eventhough plates, cups, and silverware there as well as microwave.
Disappointment all around.,
No safe electrically and bad setup with kitchen.
Only trash bag was the one already in kitchen trashcan.
Could never recommnend this property!
