River and Mountain Views

Experience the grand style of this magnificently spacious mountain estate! Privately situated on nearly 3 wooded acres. This upscale log cabin features vaulted living room, stone fireplace, quality furnishings, and hardwood floors. You're bound to love the wonderful mountain and river views from nearly every room.

The main level boasts a spacious living room with cathedral ceiling and windows top to bottom with 2 sets of French doors leading out to the wrap-around covered deck. A gorgeous stone, gas log fireplace, Satellite TV and comfy sofas make it a great spot to unwind while viewing the New River and mountain vistas. The dining area will seat 10 comfortably. Chefs Delight- the kitchen is fully-equipped with dishwasher, icemaker, microwave, coffee maker, espresso maker, coffee grinder, toaster, mixer, blender and other small appliances. The roomy main level bedroom offers queen bed and Satellite TV. 1 full bath on this level. The covered wrap deck has room for all with patio tables and cushioned seats and a swing you'll love the mountain breezes, meandering New River and Mountain Views.

The upper level offers the master suite with king bed, Satellite TV/ VCR/ DVD. Master bath off bedroom and also accesses open loft with comfy seating... a great spot for reading and viewing the tree tops.

The lower level features a large family/game room with sofas, Vermont Casting gas logs, 32" Satellite TV with vcr/dvd. Kids of all ages will enjoy the air hockey table, chess and checkers tables. Several movies and games to entertain the young ones. Full bathroom, bedroom with queen bed and another bedroom with 2 twins and 1 full. The lower patio features 6 person hot tub with many jets and waterfall. You won't find a better place for the family to relax and enjoy the mountain atmosphere.

Enjoy the river views from A New Outlook. For river access, drive a short 1/2 mile to the New River at Elk Shoals campground with sandy beach area for the kids to play, fish or access the river for tubing.

Big porch and a hot tub!

A beautiful home with lots of natural wood, quite comfortable for 10 people! Enjoyed sitting on the porch and relaxing in the hot tub. Conveniently located for kayaking on the New River. The steep driveway was challenging for one of our cars. Would definitely consider coming back!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
Owner's Response: We appreciate your review because this custom log cabin is a great, relaxing place to spread out. The cabin is spacious and private lot has room to enjoy the yard. The total wrap around deck provides a nice place to enjoy the outdoors and sounds of the river nearby. Even though the driveway is not very long, due to the gravel incline we recommend front wheel drive or 4 wheel drive since rear wheel drive vehicles can have a harder time. Owner is may consider paving the driveway 2014. We look forward to you coming back to enjoy!
