This Log cabin is completely wooded and private with a great view! 2800 sq ft, 5 bedrooms, 3 baths, 3 level home with basement. Private driveway with easy access off of main road. Huge wraparound covered porch with mountain views for you to relax and enjoy your morning coffee while listening to the sounds of a running creek. Hot Tub is brand new (7 person) with 30 jets to soak away your stress. Cabin is completely equipped and furnished with upscale decor and linens. TVs in every room including a 46'' Flat screen in the living room, swing set, BBQ grill, campfire ring with wood provided, and much more. There are 3 king bedrooms with log furniture, and 2 rooms with full and twin beds. Every detail has been taken care of to insure your best vacation ever. This cabin is nestled in the middle of 4 acres of woods for your privacy. Candles included but remember this is owned by a Fireman. Be safe.

A log home in the Cowee Valley, 1 hour from Asheville, 2 hours from the Atlanta Airport, 35 minutes to the Cherokee Casino, 35 minutes to Waynesville, Sylva and Dillsboro. Near Smoky Mountains National Park and Blue Ridge Parkway for lovely scenic drives and hiking trails. Locally known for gem mining, several in our area including Cherokee Mine, the only unsalted mine in the Cowee Valley. Also close to hiking, rafting, fishing and beautiful waterfalls. Hospital located 10 miles away in Franklin, as well as a Lowe's and Wal-Mart. Many excellent restaurants, antique stores and shops located in Franklin. For the motorcycle enthusiasts, the Tale of the Dragon is only 30 minutes away.

My friends and I (6 people total) take a motorcycle trip to the Smoky Mountains every year. We rent houses in different areas and explore the local roads. This was a great home in a nice location, located on a nice country road but only minutes from Franklin (stores, restaurants, etc.). Plus it is only 5 miles off RT 28, an outstanding motorcycle road. The house is fantastic, the basic supplies are already there, the owners just ask that you replace what you use, fair enough. We found it very comfortable with everything we could ask for, quiet location, comfortable beds, very clean, roomy great room to catch the evening football games and a relaxing hot tub. The owners, Wallace and Linda, are easy to work with. Linda even called the day of our arrival to make sure everything was ok.
We highly recommend "Fireman's Dream".
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

great multi family vacation home

Great home for family vacation with grandparents, sons, daughter in laws and 4 grandsons!!! Perfect room arrangements for 3 families - especially with 3 bedrooms with king size beds. Wrap around porch provided great morning coffee spot and perfect afternoon play area for young kids. According to grandsons the firepit was the best!!! It provided perfect evening entertainment and great for after dinner so-mores. Could not have had a better multi-generation family home.

My family and I visited the cabin during this Father's day weekend. It happened to also be my birthday on that day. I took my family there, from Indianapolis and Washington, DC. My father, who is 83 years old, had the best time, as well as my 83 year old cousin who doesn't look her age at all!! We all enjoyed the cabin so much, we didn't want to leave. We stayed on the porch most of the time because the outdoors was just so beautiful. We all had a place to sleep comfortably and he mountain air added some pounds, but that was alright too!! The cabin is absolutely beautiful. The walking trail and mining area was exciting. The grilling was absolutely the bomb!! Those ribs were cooked to perfection on that gas grill. i need to get one! This was the best family gathering ever. And it gave us memories that will never go away. Thank you Wallace and Linda for allowing us to stay at such a magnificent place. I'd come back again, for sure without any hesitation!!! God bless you both. Pat

Beautiful cabin, great location. Property is well-maintained, and the owners were very helpful. Wasn't able to take advantage of local attractions, but hope to do so next time. Found it very relaxing, and hope to be able to do again in the near future!
