The property overlooks Mashpee/Wakeby which is the Cape's largest lake and has a private association beach that is only 200 yards away. There is also a large public beach on Mashpee/Wakeby 7/10 mile from the home with a public boat launch just a bit further. The property, located on a child safe Cul De Sac, is recently renovated/furnished. This is an executive home with over 2700 sq ft in a beautiful neighborhood. The home is completely equipped and includes HD TV, WI FI, desktop computing, and central air. We have 5 spacious bedrooms and 3.5 baths. The home sleeps 11 very comfortably. In addition a full sized crib is available in one of the top floor bedrooms.

There is a spacious eat in kitchen, a dining room, large great room, and beautiful library with a stone fireplace. Glass bi-fold doors allow the great room and the library to be separated for increased privacy and quiet. Skylights throughout the home make for a very bright interior. The large deck allows for outdoor dining and relaxation.

This home is quite extraordinary. In contrast to most vacation properties on the Cape the pictures do not do it full justice!

Restrictions: 1) Smoking is not allowed on the property. If you need to smoke you will have to take a walk on the local roads.

2) Pets are not permitted

My wife and I originally purchased this home so that we could have our family which consists of our two daughters and their families. The home allows the two families to have their own independent areas while the parents (us) occupy the master bedroom suite. The layout of the home allows the family to be together while at the same time providing sufficient separation crucial to a comfortable vacation.

This home has plenty of room for both togetherness and separation when necessary. Our small grandchildren love the local association beach where it is easy to keep an eye on the small grandchildren. If you have older kids that do not require detailed supervision the main beach offers basketball and has a few lifeguards to keep an eye on them. For those of you that like an ocean beach there is an outstanding one that is part of Mashpee and is a 15 minute drive from the home without having to wrestle with any significant traffic.

What makes this house unique

This home offers both outstanding lake and ocean beaching. It is away from it all while being within a few miles of shopping, restaurants, and entertainment.

We are about 200 yards from our private association beach on Cape Cod’s largest freshwater lake (Mashpee/Wakeby). This beach is available for use as part of the rental. There is also a large public beach on Mashpee/Wakeby 7/10 mile from the home with a public boat launch just a bit further. There is a fee for use of the parking lot. There is also a very nice State Ocean Beach (in Mashpee on the southern side of Cape Cod) which is 9 miles from the home and available to the public for a nominal daily parking fee ($7.00). It takes about 15 minutes to drive to the State Park beach. There is shopping, movie theaters, restaurants, etc. within a few miles of our home and a truly delightful market (Lamberts) that makes extraordinary sandwiches and desserts. This location offers full access to Cape Cod without the painful drive on RT6 for locations further out on the Cape. My neighbor says that this area is the best kept secret on the Cape.

  • Bathroom 2 (guest bath room) contains the laundry with both a washer and dryer. There is an outdoor shower available for guest use.

  • Baby Crib on the second floor is a full size standard crib that can only be shifted between rooms by disassembling the crib. You will have to provide your own crib sheets and, if you wish to have bumpers in the crib, you will have to provide these also. The crib is currently located in bedroom 3. If desired a second full sized crib can be made available on the ground floor level. Doorways on ground level have sufficient width to enable the crib to be moved crib between bedrooms without disassembly.

Wonderful getaway on the Cape

We stayed at this property the past two summers with family members. It is the perfect size home for larger families or for friends who want a house that is large enough to accommodate multiple families. It's clean, bright, and very comfortable, with all of the amenities anyone would want - central AC, fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, deck and grill, etc. It's great for kids, with a nice pond a short walk down the road, but it is also a short drive to the ocean beaches. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice getaway on Cape Cod. We will be returning to this property this summer for the third year in a row!

Far beyond as advertised

I can't say enough about this house and it's owner Mike. The house was in immaculate condition, I mean spotless. We spent the week there with my wife, both kids, my brother , sister-in-law and their 3 kids. We had the semi-private beach(lake) essentially to ourselves. Just about a 1 minute walk. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful,. the kids could play outside with no traffic. The beach was clean. The bedrooms were spacious ans quiet. Having my morning coffee on the deck overlooking the lake was just great. Can't wait to get back...Thanks Mike !

“This very lovely house surpassed the description provided on the site and our expectations. Our family of ten (3 generations), coming from Switzerland, thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay during our winter vacation. The house itself is spacious with large dual living and dining areas, lovely roomy bedrooms, the whole being comfortably furnished with all amenities including 2 TV’s – it is well maintained and a joy to live in. It is also very well situated on a quiet, safe, blind alley, close to beautiful Mashpee Pond and near lovely ocean beaches where we went for frequent, long walks. It provides easy access to shopping facilities, dining and sight-seeing at the Cape.

In summary, we would return any time and would not hesitate to recommend it to all those who want to spend a great vacation at the Cape. This review would not be complete without our sincere thanks to Michael for his very helpful advice and the useful information he provided to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.”

Fantastic House! A home away from home

I just came back from a week at the cape with my family. We were so impressed with how immaculate this house was and how we did not have to bring any linens for the beds or baths. Everything was supplied for us for the cost. I have rented several homes on the cape and none of them have compared to this home. The location was beautiful and the pond was crystal clear and great for kids to swim, kayak, etc and access is right out the back door. The house was equipped with all the comforts of home and everything was in great condition. The entire family, all 11 of us, thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved the area and location to Mashpee Commons and easy access to Hyannis and Falmouth, but away from all the traffic of the other parts of the cape. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a great vacation or getaway.

Fantastic! Highly Recommended

This was our first visit to Cape Cod and we arrived at the house in the dark but once inside....wow! This house is amazing, the website really doesnt do it justice. Having been disappointed in the past when arriving at a property this place far exceeded our expectations. Great big rooms, loads of space for kids to run about and the house is finished to a very high standard. HD TV's in both main rooms which came in handy keeping the kids quiet.
We woke the next morning to the most beautiful sunrise looking out over the lake from the deck.
Michael made everything so easy for us right from the start with excellent communications and answered all our questions. He even organised a high chair and crib for our baby son.
The house was fully stocked with bathroom and kitchen essentials, more than enough to get us through our 2 week stay not just for the first couple of days as we have experienced before.
Mashpee is a great little town with loads to do & see and its a great base for seeing the rest of Cape Cod or going up to Boston. And if you love ice cream try the Polar Cave in Mashpee, the kids loved it!
Thanks again Michael and we hope to come back again soon!!
