I have had the great fortune of living in Austin for more than 20 years, and feel this Soco Bungalow is not only a great location in Travis Heights, but its the cutest house with a bit of retro and southwestern design to make this a wonderful, unique Austin experience.
Walk to Soco (South Congress) 3 blocks away and shop, dine and entertain yourself. Moments to downtown and 3 blocks to Stacy Park and a free, heated, year-round pool. The two queen size beds are comfy, with 2 full bathrooms for the 3 bedrooms. I also have a twin bed in the smaller bedroom, great for kids but comfy for adults too. Very sweet!
I maintain the property with the utmost care, cleanliness and professionalism.

Trees, Birds, Quiet!
Quiet, beautiful neighborhood with wonderful neighbors and amazing houses. This is the area of Austin that gives you direct walking access to shops, dining, music and Austin eclectic.
Walking to Soco is so easy...5 minute walk to an organic grocery store, 24 hour diner Magnolia Cafe, Wahoo's Fish Tacos, Woodland Cafe, South Congress Cafe (YUM!), Vulcan Video, Guerro's and so many cute vintage clothing and Bohemian shops for men and women.
On weekends, local artists set up their booths and sell awesome jewelry, hats, clothing, art and more. Studios and original art, great walking area.
Come stay at the Soco Bungalow! You will be nestled in the heart of what makes Austin unique, close to downtown, Barton Springs and Soco.
The house has two outdoor areas, with a screened in porch. There is a picnic bench and chairs and table in the front courtyard, and in the back screened porch is a nice hideaway with a couch and chairs. Perfect for outdoor relaxation sheltered from the Texas mosquitos that can be every present in summer.
Cute, private, quaint house with amazing access to Austin Soco and downtown.
Lovely place, very comfortable, good location!! Super recommended!!!
What a great location. just a few blocks from South Congress but very quiet and peaceful. Very clean and comfortable with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. great for couples or small family.
Took a trip to Austin for a business retreat and was not looking forward to staying in an overpriced and cold hotel room. A friend turned me on to Tazzoe Rentals and me and my colleagues ended up staying in this cute little house tucked in right off of South Congress. It was everything I wanted to be. Quiet, peaceful, but I could easily walk to Austin favorites such as Magnolia Cafe. It was a great way to experience the city - when I wanted it, it was there, when I didn't want it, the house provided great refuge.
The house is adorable, with a patio in the back and one in the front that provided some great spaces for catching up with people over a drink, the two bedrooms allowed us the privacy and comfort we needed, closets were huge, the water pressure on the shower was incredible!
The place was exactly like the photos made it out to be, it was clean and freshly redone and had a cool Southwest theme on the inside. Staying at the house was great and I will definitely try to get the house again for next year's summit.
The home is very comfortable, quiet and private; I was able to read and catch up on studying without difficulty. It's a few blocks walk to the SoCo District with lots of great restaurants and nightclubs. The utilities work well; I love the decor and the beautiful trees sheltering the home. I will be back.
What a fun house to stay in for a car free vacation! We were able to walk to shopping (antiques, vintage clothing, souvenirs, a yarn shop, a litle grocery) to restaurants to hang out places (Jo's Coffee is a must for hanging out and watching the beautiful people stroll by). South Congress it a busy area but the house is a few blocks removed on a quiet street, so we appreciated that too. Cute kitchen was fun for cooking and then eating out under the giant oak trees. The house was very comfortable and I would love to come back for another stay.
From what I'm told (and what I've seen), South Congress is the happening new area in Austin, and this location was ideal for exploring it on foot. This colorful cottage under gigantic oaks was comfortable and appears to have been recently remodeled. We found a little jazz bar above the Continental Club and it was like hanging out with old friends (that you've never met). Nice walk home after the show.
Walk to South Congress in less than 5 minutes where shops, resturaunts, art galleries and a great culture await you. Organic Soco Grocery Store, 24 hour Magnolia Diner, Beautiful Park are all 5 minute walk from the house. Downtown is 2 miles and bus is easy to catch, or walk it in 30 minutes.
