Blue Ridge Getaway

We stayed here and visited the town of Blue Ridge and road the train there. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the cabin in the woods and all of the surrounding sights including the Orchard. It was a lovely trip.

Great cabin

We met friends we don’t see often at the cabin, and it was perfect. Although we went exploring the area some each day, we were very comfortable just hanging out in the cabin and on the deck. I’d highly re on end thus property.

Misleading cabin

We arrived at the property unable to get in & had to purchase a hotel. Was only refunded the hosts portion and not VRBO's portion because we contacted the host first and not them. The next day finally able to get in there was a list of issues that we had planned to tell the host at the end of the stay because it was 4th of July weekend & everything else was booked. The cabin looks as if someone has tried to break in down stairs, the doors on the back side of the cabin were unable to be dead bolted, the bathroom towels had brown stains(we ended up purchasing towels from local walmart), the bathroom rug was filthy (I rolled it up & placed in a corner), had bull ants, light bulbs needed to be changed, there is no game room its a loft, the loft would get too hot at night for my nieces so they had to sleep on the couch downstairs, broken & missing games. We looked past all of this until the 2nd to last night. Went to go cook dinner and the oven wasn't working. There is also an air fryer that is broken. The last night (finally no rain!)we went out to make smores and to our surprise there is no fire pit like the host has listed. Come to find out he believes you're suppose to use the indoor fire place as a fire pit. The host only refunded us HIS portion from the first night & $80 for the oven convenience. Very disappointed in our stay. I feel like we were mislead into a cabin that wasn't fully functional but we attempted to make it work in the best way we knew how to.

Tranquil cabin close to Blue Ridge

The cabin was a terrific getaway for me, my family, and our Schnauzer. The home had an open floorplan and kitchen with a beautiful loft and spacious bedrooms. The soaking jet bathtub was wonderful but there was also a hot tub for outdoor relaxing. We had a great time playing Pac Man and listening to music on YouTube while cooking. The area was remote and quiet while Blue Ridge was a 15 minute drive which we took advantage of on several occasions. Steve our host was very accommodating and checked in with us during our stay to make sure we were settled in. We had an awesome time and would gladly stay here again!

The roomy cabin has two private king bedrooms in addition to a bunk area in the upper-level loft. This makes it easy for a large group to spread out and enjoy a private space of their own.

The first bedroom is located on the main level and features a king-size bed, a wall-mounted Smart TV, and a private bath with a shower/tub combo. This room also has access to the lower deck. The main level has an additional half bath located off the great room/kitchen area.

The second bedroom is located on the upper level and is outfitted with a custom long queen bed, a flat-screen Smart TV, and a private bath with a jetted tub and separate shower. The room offers access to the upper-level deck.

The upper-level loft area is great for the kiddos or any extra guests you may have. This area is outfitted with a twin over full bunk bed, a foosball table, and an arcade game.

☆☆ KITCHEN & GREAT ROOM ☆☆
The main floor includes the kitchen and great room. The open floor plan makes it easy to hang out together no matter which area you’re in.

The full kitchen has all the basics you’ll need for cooking your favorite meal, including an air fryer and a well-stocked coffee bar with both a regular coffee machine and a Keurig K Cup Coffee maker. You'll find an initial starter kit of toilet paper, paper towels, kitchen trash bags, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, coffee, sugar, creamer, coffee filters, sea salt, and a peppercorn grinder.
