Our little jewel is decorated in Beachy Flair to continue with that feel when you must go inside. Our Queen sleep sofa can handle your extra needs but is vet comfy to just sit and read or watch TV. Enjoy sleeping in our King Sized bed with an additional TV for more entertainment.
We try to give all inclusive rates, depending on your needs or request. Some of these ammenities include Linens, departure cleaning, hi-speed wireless Internet, 2 TV -Cable, DVD player, fully equipped kitchen, laundry room (no fee).
Since this is our play house too, we keep it updated and fun.
We accept doggies, but limit the size and number in the summer to help maintain this privilege. Please let us know about your pet.
Note that the owners in this small building work close with each other and do not block our calenders until all the units are filled.

We had friends who had condos in this building and the first time I can I fell in love with the building. I had recently lost my mom to breast cancer, hence the name in her honor. Having this charming condo on the beach was a healing place for me and has brought me much joy over the years and my guests too. I have many visitors who have been returning here for many years and I receive so much pleasure knowing how much they enjoy my little 'nellies nook' we hope you will visit also and discover our refuge from the world!
We just wanted to thank you for letting us stay in your Loon-a-Seay condo at Goldcoast Resort. We have to say that this was the best vacation that we have ever had. The condo was beautiful and teh view was breath-taking. We hope you will have Loon-a-Seay for rent next year. We most definitely want to stay there next year. I have told everyone how much we enjoyed staying there. Again THANK YOU SO MUCH for making our vacation the most relaxing one we have ever had.
What a grand time we had. This place was clean and the views were awesome. They say it is second row but we felt as if we were ocean front. This was our first stay at Cherry Grove and I will say that it will not be our last. Loon-a-Seay was perhaps the cleaniest condo we have stayed at in a long time.
I'll begin by stating we love the Cherry Grove Beach area. It is a quiet area but close enough to a grocery store, shopping, restaurants and attractions that enable one to be laid back or active. The location of Waves couldn't be better - directly on a beautiful beach. And it is a pet friendly condo. I believe every tenant had at least 1 dog during our stay and all the dogs were very well controlled and behaved. Everyone we met was extremely friendly, which was a plus to our vacation. Although the condo unit was small it was more than adequate for 2 people and a dog. The bed was comfortable and it was nice to have 2 TVs so we could each watch our shows. We had a wonderful vacation but we had several concerns. The unit is dated but our concerns were the lack of maintenance in several areas, some safety concerns. The smoke detector, attached to the wall did not work - the cover was off and it was missing parts. The high bistro table had 2 metal chairs, one of which was broken and could not be used. I walked into the chair and cut the side of my leg. Only 1 light on the deck was working. It would have been enjoyable to have been able to sit on the deck during the day and relax but the patio table had a metal pole sticking through the middle with no umbrella to provide shade from the sun. The micro wave, which was attached under the cabinet was not level and occasionally when in use the turn-table slid off its track. The burners on the stove were also not level, making it difficult to use. The majority of the dishes had chips in them. The silver ware and pots and pans were disgusting. The vent over the oven was rusty, the bathroom door was coming apart, the vertical blinds did not fully open and were missing pieces. The refrigerator was dripping water but was replaced on either our third or fourth day in the condo. We were getting ready to go to the beach when 2 men arrived to deliver the new refrigerator. I commented that if they arrived a few minutes later we would have been gone. We were told if we were not there we would have returned to a new refrigerator. Great to get a new refrigerator but it would have been nice to have been informed. I find that lack of security concerning. We were not told that a delivery was being made. Several of our valuables were in plain sight - laptop, kindle readers, iPod and could have easily been taken. If we had been informed of the delivery I would have taken precautions with our property.
First let me start when we arrived. The unit which we had a contract for was occupied. I spoke with the couple and showed them my contact. They to showed a contact for the same dates. I immediately called Jacqui and was unable to contact her and left a Voice message to call me. The other party called Lee was was able to get in touch with Jacqui. She apologized for the mix-up and provide the key code for this Unit. My wife and I decided to take this unit as it was available and we really didn't have any other choice. This unit needs some updating. One of the chairs to the Bistro Table was broken. If you look closely at the picture on Jacqui's website you can see it's sagging to one side as the support is broken. There were also about 6 window slats broken. Being on the 1st floor we needed to close the blinds for our privacy. While my wife was unpacking she noticed a layer of dust on the left top side of the Dresser Mirror. you could tell that this has been there for sometime. Also there was dust around the ceiling fan in the bedroom. I have pictures for anyone who want to see. The outside of the building and unit is in need of some updating. The appliances work but are dated. On a good note, the Bed was extremely comfortable and Jacqui mentioned that she would give me some compensation for my inconveniences. The unit has potential and all that is needed spend some money and update. I would suggest that you have a talk with your cleaning company.
Wow - we have rented from Debbie for years at this place and some of her others, so we were really quite shocked to read the recent review that someone had posted on Nellies nook. We were scheduled for one of our fall visits, so were curious to see what we would find. Over the years we have witnessed the upgrades that she makes to her property each year and were again pleasantly surprised by the number of changes she had made since last fall. She has added in a new large flat screen tv in the living room, a new queen sleeper, a new king bed (yea, previously she had a queen) and she had also replaced the entire window tract system in the living room picture window. We know that previously she has completely gutted the kitchen and bathroom and upgraded those facilities over the years plus painted the place in bright, cheery beach colors. She has all tile floors and new stove, microwave and d/w. The only thing that could possibly be considered needing replacing is the headboard which is her previous one for the queen and she indicated to us that she is on the search for a king one that she likes, but she has found what she wanted yet. We were also pleased with the cleanliness of the place and she told us she had a new cleaning service and we thought they did a great job on the condo. From the review that was posted, it appears that their major complaint was the cleanliness of the unit and we don't understand why they did not contact the agent or cleaning service to come back and reclean the unit if it is was not to their standards. The pictures as posted on the website are exactly as the condo is and not sure what the issue was with the previous renters, but we as always found Nellie's Nook, warm, welcoming and a wonderful refuge to us for our visit to the beach.

I noticed the reviews on this property went back to 2003 and there are few from 2009 and on. This should have given be a better indication of what to expect......
Well, suffice to say we were not thrilled with our stay. So much so after about an hour of arriving at Nellie's Nook we were repacking our bags and leaving. The one and only good thing I could say about the unit is its proximity to the ocean. It is fantastic. It unfortunately goes downhill big-time from there....The interior condition of the condo is really horrible. The decor is very outdated and in need of an upgrade. There was an inch of dust built up behind the bedroom's headboard and the general cleanliness of the unit was atrocious. The paint is peeling on parts of the ceiling and what wasn't peeling had dust all over it. There was also a damp musty smell that permeated the unit. I know it’s a rental property, but does that mean the place should not be maintained properly? I contacted the owner's agent Jacqui who advised me she would attempt to find another individual to rent the unit for the week we had but no consideration for any refund was given. Luckily we have relatives in the area we were able to stay with or our vacation would have been ruined. Maybe the owner will see this review and take a proactive role in making some changes to the unit for the better. There was no way my wife and I would stay in the unit, no less allow my dog to spend any time there. It's truly a shame because like I said it's a great location, just a filthy, old mess in need of a desperate renovation. I understand "pet friendly" rentals are few and far in between, but I would at least expect a more "people friendly" place to stay....

This was our second trip to Nellie's Nook. This time we took our Jack Russell Terrior. This condo is perfect for us in two main areas: 1. We are an older couple; my husband is on a cane and cannot do stairs...especially with luggage, etc. Nellie's Nook has no steps, which is so helpful. 2. It is a pet-friendly condo. Our "Petey" loved the beach, and before long felt very comfortable in the condo. He was a gentleman dog in every way. I am so happy that there is a place that will accept well-behaved pets. The condo is not fancy, but it is clean and meets all the needs a vacationer has, especially senior citizens. We hope to continue going to the beach on a yearly basis, and we plan to stay at Nellie's Nook each time. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants an affordable condo on the beach, with.an extremely helpful, friendly, and efficient owner who makes the transaction very simple and user-friendly.
