Nice bright 2 bedroom home, and office that has t.v.,desk, and printer, and free wireless internet throughout the home and patios. The living rooms' couch is also the size of a twin bed for additional sleeping area.
The home has a front screened porch and a back screened patio. Original hardwood floors, TV. in every room, parking in driveway. Quaint bungalow on brick street, short-distance walking to restaurants, bars and shops. Three blocks from Rollins College where there is live theater at the historic Annie Russell Theater and on-campus choral and symphony concerts. 4 blocks to Park Avenue shopping/restaurants. 2 blocks to lakeside stroll. Saturday farmers market 4 blocks away. Public park/beach 9 blocks away. Train track runs thru Winter Park, with Amtrak passenger Station just 6 blocks away on Park Avenue. We recently rented this home for a month. It is comfortable, immaculately clean and well-maintained. Location is within easy walk to everything you want to see and do in Winter Park - lake walk, shopping, dining, museums and entertainment. We loved our visit. Train was no issue to us. Guests who stayed in the front bedroom found there was too much street noise to have windows open at night but it was generally too cool to do so. Back room was very quiet even with college students living next door. We found the manager to be very pleasant and responsive - we woke one day to find fence damage and it was fixed the next day. We would definitely rent this home again.
We rented the bungalow to attend my nephews wedding, and were more-than-pleased with the home. It had everything we needed, and was very nicely decorated. We could easily walk to downtown Winter Park and Rollins College, and it was fun watching the college students travel to and from class. I found the back porch to be an especially restful spot, and the owner has a unique way of approaching the rental process.
This Bungalow was adorable - a perfect place for our vacation. I grew up in Winter Park, and so wanted a place that was close to all the things I most loved as a kid - Park Ave., the lakes, the beautiful streets filled with old homes - just perfect to form a ghost story around. the house is on a brick lined street a block from Rollins College. There's a wonderful trail at Rollins that goes around the lake to Dinky Dock (where we would swim when I was a kid). The back has a wonderful screened in porch, and there is a smaller one in the front. Instead of visiting, we had our family visit us. I have recommended it to many, and hope to return again!!! It's the kind of house I could have lived in forever - so cute and perfect!!
We so enjoyed our stay in this charming and pristine house in the heart of Winter Park. The house is so clean and organized that I never wanted to leave. The tempurpedic mattress in the back bedroom was perfect for my elderly father.
Every morning, we walked around the beautiful lake near Rollins College. In the afternoons, we took a boat tour and walked the downtown with its many varied shops.
Honestly, I can't wait to come stay here again soon! Thanks for everything.
We went to Winter Park from Southeast Florida for a girl’s weekend over Labor Day. This bungalow was a true find! It had a roomy cottage atmosphere with large rooms, great appliances and two very nice patios. The entire home was spotless. We were very comfortable walking barefoot inside. The furnishings are attractive, clean and cozy. I slept in the back bedroom which had a Tempurpedic mattress and pillow, just like at home.
The location is a comfortable walk from the shops and restaurants along Park Avenue. In addition, the lake surrounding Rollins College provided delightful scenery for long, powerful walks. Everything we wanted or needed was at our weekend home, including the essential items like wine glasses and corkscrews. The only down side to the entire weekend was when it came time to leave on Labor Day; back to the grind! We will definitely return; everything was perfect.
Our stay t was a delight.The bungalow is charmingly decorated, with a well- equipped and spacious kitchen. Both bedrooms have good mattresses. Park Ave shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance,as is the beautiful campus of Rollins College and adjacent Lake Virginia.
