Sanibel Island House Rental Photos and Description
House, 3 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6-8)
If you are looking for a retreat from the busy world, our Sanibel Island house is just what you are looking for. Sanibel is a place to recharge your batteries and our house is designed to make the most of your stay.
The house is situated in the Gulf Pines neighborhood, which has sand roads, no street lights and one stop sign. The homes exist within the natural habitat of Sanibel. Sit on the back screen porch and watch white herons feed, red-crested wood peckers climb up the pines, turtles swim lazily in the lagoon, and occasionally spy a mother raccoon and her young cross the bridge behind the house.
The house has an open floor plan with living room, dining room and kitchen on the first floor. There is a bed room and full bath on the first floor as well. On the second floor are two bedrooms, one full bath and a TV-lounge area that looks over the living room. The back of the house is filled with french doors that open to the screen porch. There are two sun-deck areas, one off of the screened porch on the first floor and one above the screen porch on the second floor.
3 couches and two rolled mattresses can be used for extra guests.

About Luke Hodges
Our family has been vacationing on Sanibel Island since the late 1960's - when there wasn't a causeway and we had to take the ferry over to the island. Through the decades we would occasionally decide to try another beach or another part of Florida. No other place match the natural beauty and peaceful personality of Sanibel. After many years and many stays, we build our dream house in 1991 - which we now offer to you.

What makes this house unique
More often than not, we use this house as a retreat from our busy lives. We typically turn off emails and leave the TV off. The house is filled with books and the family plays games or work on puzzles.
