Located on the Western shore of Black Lake in Northern Michigan and boasting over 10,000 acres of fun. The flat sandy lake bottom is great for small children, approximately 2' deep at the end of the 40' dock. Sunbathe on the all sand beach during the day and enjoy an evening bonfire. A large picnic table and charcoal grill are at your disposal. ATV trails are located a quarter mile from the house providing access to the State Forest. The fishing is fantastic, walleye, northern pike, perch, and panfish. The fly fishing is also worth exploring in the surrounding rivers. This family home is extremely clean and sits fifty feet off the water. The master bedroom has a new pillow top king bed, while the other bedrooms contain one double and four twins. Full kitchen with all the utensils, pots, range/oven, fridge, micro, coffee pot, toaster, washer and dryer. Bed linens and towels are included. The premier Black Lake Golf Course is 3 miles down the street.

  • We require a $300 security deposit to book the home.

    The security deposit will be returned(mailed after stay) if home is left clean and no damage has occurred.

    $150 cleaning charge will be deducted from deposit if home needs to be cleaned.

    Check in Saturday 4:00pm and Check out is 10:00am the following Saturday.



    Home is available for short stays and weekends on a limited basis contact owner to confirm availability.

  • The master bedroom is very large with a wonderful pillow top, King size mattress. Bedroom 2 has a bunk bed with double on the bottom twin on the top and a stand alone twin. Bedroom 3 has two twin beds.

Notes: A 14' Starcraft rowboat with 15hp motor is available for rent, perfect fishing boat, great trolling motor. $350 week. Pontoon boats can be rented from the marina at the North end of the lake. The Black Lake State Park located on the south side has a boat launch for large boats. Small fishing boats and jet skis can be launched at the Corbat Rd public access located 1/2 mile south of the cottage.

Enjoy the all sand beach and lake bottom. A 40' private dock provides for easy access to your boat. Inside the home you will find everything you need to enjoy your stay. The home is fully furnished and includes all the kitchen accessories you will need. Gas stove, microwave, full size fridge and freezer ,washer, dryer, DVD player, Nintendo and TV. You can enjoy every evening at the campfire on the beach. A picnic table and charcoal barbeque grill are ready for sunny outdoor lunches or dinner overlooking the beach and lake.

Swimming, Power Boating, Waterskiing, Fishing, Canoeing, ORV Trails, Motor Speedway in Onaway, Hiking, Trout fishing at several nearby streams.

Black Lake is a four to five hour drive from Detroit, four hours from Lansing, and four hours from Gran Rapids. It is approximately 45 miles SE of Mackinaw City and the Bridge.

Golf:

The premier Black Lake UAW golf course is just three miles away.

Stoney Creek golf course is located 10 miles away in Onaway on M-68.

Great place

This place is much larger than it appears. Nice layout. The king bed was new and high end. The water is 1.7 feet deep at the end of the dock, but there is a mooring buoy where you can walk back to shore. There are a lot of fish in this lake, and the best spot (for us) was right out front. TV channels are limited. We may very well go back.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Families with Young Children
