3 Bedroom, 2 Bath House

Our house is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home located just outside of the small town of Pahoa on south eastern side of the Big Island. Hilo international airport and Volcano National Park are about 20 minutes. Pahoa is a small, old time Hawaiian town, quickly becoming a destination in itself. Enjoy the nearby ocean front park.

The Big Island is a largest of the islands, in fact it’s as big as all the other islands put together, yet has the least population per square mile. It also has 11 of the 14 worlds climates zones, from desert lavascape to tropical rain forests. That means more variety and less people. Here are just a few of the many attractions to visit and experience. You might find yourself hiking across the Kilauea caldera or watching the lave crash into the sea in Volcano National Park, or basking in the sun on a black sand beach with the occasional sea turtle as a companion, or visiting the most southern place in the United States and home to a green sand beach. There are also beautiful water falls, botanical gardens, hot springs, and lava tube caves. And of course let’s not forget shopping. There is a local and Hilo weekly farmers market and craft show. Our house is close to the 'old style' town of Pahoa where you can enjoy food and shopping on it's main street.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Don & Carla's vacation home.

The house was spacious, clean, and well furnished. We found everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The linen closet was well-stocked and the kitchen had all the utensils we needed to prepare our meals. We even used the grill in the shed one night.

One feedback is that the screen doors in the master bedroom did fall off, so that can be fixed. Otherwise, it was a treat to stay in this house.

We stayed in the house on a holiday of the Big Island from New Zealand. Just what we wanted, a house that felt like a home.
The place was spotless and had everything we needed. We used it as a base to explore the south east side of the island and went on a day trip to Volcano.
Everything was as described. We would totally recommend this house.

We went to Hilo for our grandson's 1st BD party and searched for a rental near the event site. I found this rental and loved it. The owner's really take pride in their property. The setting is comfortable for the renters especially if they're traveling with family. We did and everyone was comfortable even my little infant. Awesome place, keep in mind that you want to rent something nice and the owner's would like the same respect too!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities, Romantic Getaway
