Surrounded by woods, this absolutely charming , 5-room, 1000 square-foot , all knotty-pine cottage with modern updates is just 50 easy steps to your own very private beach! Walk out glass sliding doors onto the giant new deck in front to enjoy the spectacular view, or walk down to the beach to sit, swim or walk for miles. An eagle nests right next to the cottage. Deer drink and swim at dusk and dawn. There are sleeping areas for 4-6 vacationers: two bedrooms, each with double beds, and a carpeted, cozy, sunken family room with 2 couches -one can be opened into a full-size bed. The front sitting room has a bay window seat that can be used as a twin bed (ideal for kids or for Grandpa). High vaulted ceilings with skylights give a spacious feel. Hear the waves of Mother Nature lull you into a peaceful sleep every night...

Amenities: It's very nicely appointed and maintained, yet the atmosphere says: 'relax and make yourself at home!' The kitchen is furnished with an electric stove, oven, refrigerator, freezer, cooking and dining utensils. Family room has local TV, a video/DVD player,. Bathroom has toilet, sink, tub/ shower. Electric baseboard heat for chilly nights, and air-conditioning for those super-hot days (rarely necessary).

Activities & Area: Located south of Silver Lake, Pentwater, and Ludington, north of Muskegon,and west of JJ Resort, and Grand Rapids, right on Lake Michigan, you can spend your action-packed days at the best of all tourist attractions with excellent dining, golf, Michigan Adventures, horseback riding, bicycle and dune buggy riding, Winston Speedway, shopping, fishing, boating, - or just enjoy the quiet wind and waves at your own private paradise! Swim all day, and build campfires on the beach at night. Boat, waverunner, dunebuggy rentals in Silver Lake. Excellent fishing in Stony Lake 2 miles up Scenic Drive from the cottage. This place is ideal for enjoying a intimate, romantic getaway with your loved one, or for a fun-filled action-packed family vacation where you'll build warm memories forever. Beautiful setting, marginal accomodations

I wavered between a good and average rating on this property. The site is incredible. Very private and quiet, great deck, gorgeous lake view, very nice beach. The cottage itself is a bit of a disappointment however. The bathroom is tiny with a worn tub and little water pressure. Bathroom rugs were dirty. Furnished towels were quite worn. Kitchen is furnished with garage-sale remnants. (Basics like measuring cups and measuring spoons were not present.) Ceiling fan was dust-laden. No dishwasher, no garbage disposal. Most of the cottage was reasonably clean, but window blinds and floor corners were dusty. There is very little space to stow clothes.

Excellent Cottage

The cottage was wonderful! Very cozy with all the comforts of home: games, toys, novels, poetry, movies, fully stocked kitchen and all the linens for the bathroom and beds! Immaculately clean! The deck is enormous with two levels; it is a wonderful space for relaxing and having meals. Stocked with deck furniture and beach furniture; the kitchen dishes were quality, not mismatched seconds. We were treated with a bottle of wine to start off our week.
