Great view: so-so condo

The 270 degree ocean view is as advertised. We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the ships come and go. The area is very nice, and you can walk to the Tybee Island Lighthouse and Ft. Screven Museum in about 10 minutes.
The condo has good bones, and all the appliances and A/C work fine. However, the decor is very worn, and the screens for the sliding doors do not stay on track at all.
Earlier comment about the steps is true. If you have issues climbing stairs (four flights) or with allergies (shag carpet on most floors), you may want to consider other properties. If we decide to return to Tybee Island, we'll probably seek other accommodations.

Owner's Response: We are replacing the sliding screens on the glass doors since the salt dictates replacement about every two years. The carpet is required by the condo owners association in order to keep the noise down for the units below. We constantly replace furniture and appliances on a regular basis and make sure they all work. All the appliances are two years old or less. Last year a new leather couch was added. This year we will be adding new beds.
