The house is only accessible via a private road. It is located on a small hill with a view of Kenmare Bay, the Caha Mountains and the Ring of Kerry. It is nestled in amidst subtropical vegetation which can otherwise only be found in botanical gardens. Lehid Harbour Bay and a stony beach are just 5 minutes’ walk away. Surrounded by a 2,000 m² garden, you will have plenty of peace and quiet here or you may wish to enjoy the lively bustle in Kenmare. The golf courses in Kenmare and Killarney are world famous, as its Kenmare's culinary reputation. The cottage has a new, fully furnished kitchen, three bedrooms - two of them have two beds, one with a queen size bed, a freshly renovated bathroom, a living room with an open fireplace and new parquet.

Tuosist is located at the foot of the Caha Mountains on the Beara Peninsula, approximately 18 km from Kenmare. Lehid Harbour is a picturesque harbour with old trees and lush, subtropical vegetation. One can reach Castletownbear, the southwest’s largest fishing harbour, in one hour via Healy Pass. From Kenmare, which is 20 minutes away, one can explore the Ring of Kerry. The Kerry airport (Farranfore) is about an 80 minute drive away, Killarney is about 60 minutes away and Tralee is approximately 90 minutes away. The drive to Cork, the largest city in the south, takes approximately two hours.

Nearby Activities: A paddi (diving station) is located nearby. One can also collect seashells, catch shrimps or fish from the marked rocks. There is a small riding stable on the road to Kenmare. Kenmare has a bicycle rental, boat excursions and two 18-hole golf courses.

Enjoy and Experience: Hike, golf, ride, cycle, swim, dive or take walks along kilometres of sandy beaches, visit the botanic gardens, the islands or simply enjoy the lapping of the waves on the nearby beach – there is something here for everyone. Lage & Ausstattung exakt wie beschrieben. Sauberer, gepflegter Allgemeinzustand (nicht alles neu, aber alles intakt). Sehr ruhige Lage, großer Garten mit tollem Meerblick. Ausgezeichnet die Vorbereitung und Betreuung durch Vermieter vom Vertragsabschluss bis zur Endabrechnung (exakte Lagebeschreibung, viele gute Tipps und Karten vor Ort vorhanden, optionale Endreinigung möglich usw.), außerdem jede Menge Spiele und Bücher für Schlechtwettertage. Küche mit Grundausstattung an Gewürzen u.ä. - besonders für Flugreisende angenehm. Adapter für dt. Geräte vorhanden. Bad und WC sauber und gepflegt, jedoch mit irischem Standard (Wasserdruck und -qualität sind in ganz Irland nicht wie daheim). Sehr gemütliches Kaminzimmer gerade bei "irischem" Wetter. Nahegelegene Badestelle ist leider nicht zum Baden geeignet (Algen, Steine etc.). Zum nächsten schönen Sandstrand mind. 30 Autominuten. Highlights in der Umgebung: Rings of Kerry & Beara, Nationalpark bei Killarney und das hübsche Städtchen Kenmare, wo man auch die nötigen Einkäufe regelt (bei Anreise am besten vor der Weiterreise zum Ferienhaus). Auf der Straße zum Häuschen außerdem Einkauf in Fischfabrik möglich (gut, günstig, jedoch nichts für kleine Portionen). Alles in allem ein empfehlenswerter Ferienstandort für einen Urlaub in Kerry mit Auto.

Wir verbrachten eine wunderbare Woche in diesem mit viel Liebe eingerichteten Haus. Wir konnten den riesigen Garten dank des schönen Wetters genießen und hatten es nicht geschafft die vielen Bücher, die es im Haus gibt, zu lesen. Deswegen werden wir auf alle Fälle wieder kommen. Die Freizeitmöglichkeiten in naher und ferner Umgebung sind beinahe unerschöpflich.

- wunderschönes, geräumiges , zweckmäßiges Ferienhaus, man sollte aber die Stille sowie die Natur lieben , dann ist man im Kenmare Ferienhaus genau richtig
- Auto ist zwingend notwendig
- hervorzuheben ist die wunderbare Vorbereitung der Reise durch die Vermieterin ( Anreiseunterlagen !! - man kann sich gar nicht verfahren ) , auch sonst fühlt man sich wunderbar betreut durch die Vermieterin (ihre Begeisterung für das Land Irland hat sich auf uns übertragen )
- wir denken gern an den Aufenthalt zurück und würden jederzeit wiederkommen

Komplett eingerichtetes Ferienhaus in optimaler Lage für alle die Ruhe und Natur zu schätzen wissen! Alles was für einen Aufenthalt in einem Ferienhaus benötigt wird - auch die vielen kleinen Dinge - ist vorhanden. Sehr nette Vermieter die einen freundlichen Empfang bereiten. Angesichts der Kapazität, Ausstattung und der exponierten Lage des Domizils ist die Preisgestaltung als sehr fair anzusehen. Als Ausgangspunkt für die Erkundung des Südwestens bestens geeignet. Sehr empfehlenswert !!
