This lovely log vacation rental home sits out in the pastures near Victor, Idaho, under the bluffs of the Teton foothills. It is near the base of Teton Pass, and provides equal access to Grand Targhee Ski Resort or Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. In summer it is convenient to those visiting both Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park.

The home has a charming, cozy feel to it, with a cathedral ceiling over the main open-plan living / dining / kitchen area. The main level also has laundry, full bathroom, queen bedroom, and front entry deck. The master suite is upstairs and the lower floor consists of 'almost' an apartment. There is a large open space with sitting area with pull-out sofa, TV, two twin beds, mini kitchen area with refrigerator, microwave oven, counter with sink and cabinets above and below. A separate queen bedroom and full bath are also on this floor.

In nearby Jackson there are numerous cultural and entertainment activities year-round.

The area abounds with out-door sports and activities. Mountain biking, skiing, canoeing, rafting, wildlife watching, road biking, rock climbing, mountaineering - too much to list and all near the mountain / western town of Jackson with its art galleries, restaurants, and outfitters.

About The Owner

My name is Cindy Parker, I have lived in Wyoming since 2003 and currently live in Jackson. I own the Jackson Hole Book Traders, and have three grown children. Living in such an astoundingly beautiful place makes me grateful, and I love to welcome travelers and skiers to the area. My goal is to make your stay here a wonderful memory.

Why The Owner chose Victor

This is an ideal horse property surrounded by peace and quiet. The home is open plan and comfortable, enshrouded by the great outdoors. Victor is a pleasant community with a surprising number of delightful eateries. Skiing is close by at both Grand Targhee and Jackson Hole Mountain resorts. In the summer there are many fantastic river spots for fishing, kayaking, canoeing, or floating. Wonderful trails for hiking and horseback riding.

What makes this house unique

The rural setting provides an opportunity for complete relaxation. Breakfast on the front deck is a delight in the rising sun. In the evening watch the sunset while enjoying a fire in the fire pit on the large stone patio featuring a waterfall. Any time of day is a good time for a soak in the hot tub.Walk down the road on a country lane amid horses in their fields, and make friends with local canines who will come to greet you.

Best Vacation Rental Cabin Ever

I have been renting vacation cabins regularly for over 10 years, and this cabin is, by far, the best-stocked, most hospitable, easiest cabin I have ever stayed in.

Never knowing what to expect, we brought knives, coffee grinders, bottle openers, etc. but we needed nothing beyond what Cindy had available for us to use. We could have easily made Thanksgiving Dinner there if we wanted to.

The rental and check-in/check-out processes couldn't have been simpler. And the cabin itself was truly delightful; tastefully and thoughtfully decorated, cozy, luxurious, and clean. The hot tub was clean and perfect after our days of skiing or cycling.

For nights that we didn't cook, we had delicious meals at the Thai restaurant in Driggs and the pizza/brew-pub in Victor. We didn't bring kids on this trip, but I noticed that the cabin is also family/baby-friendly, with a portacrib, baby-gates, and a high chair provided.

Thank you, Cindy, for the perfect setting for a friends' getaway/15th anniversary/40th birthday vacation.

We stayed at Cindy's cabin last month and it was great. Better than advertised, and dog friendly. Didn't get to enjoy the hot tub due to the weather. I'd stay there again, but we just bought a place in Driggs. Don't hesitate to rent this place.

Winter ski trip

We stayed for a week while skiing Targhee and Jackson Hole and this home was outstanding.
Very clean and well maintained and the owner was extremely helpful.
Great food nearby at the Sun Dog Cafe and Wildlife Brewing.
Highly recommended and we will definitely be coming back for some more skiing and summer mountain biking.
