We chose the Las Gavias Golden Shores location for its spectacular views, relaxing atmosphere, and superior luxury. Mazatlan has been our home away from home for over 25 years and we decided to buy at this location because it offers us not only the views and easy accessibility to the beach that we love, but also because of the beautiful building design, walking distance to a variety of restaurants, and easy public transportation right out the front door. The furniture and room decor were designed to be simple, yet offer a luxurious stay for any couple or family so that the only thing that you would need to bring with you would be your suitcase of clothes. The condo itself is an expansive floor plan of more than 2,100 square feet (including 400 square ft terrace) with three bedrooms (two of which have full walk-in closets and bathrooms, the third full bathroom is off the hallway) a living room, a full kitchen, dining room, and an expansive 180 degree view on the balcony. The living room, dinning room and kitchen all have an unobstructed view of the Pacific Ocean. This is a place to sit and let go of everything and be completely mesmerized as you watch some of the most spectacular sunsets in the world.
There is a reason we have returned every year for 25 years to Mazatlan. It has a little of everything for the young and not so young at heart. The town is located in one of the richest fishing areas in the Pacific with stretches of beach running up and down the length of the hotel districts, residential neighborhoods and the downtown areas. Beach activities are abundant and vary from parasailing, boat sailing, and strolls along the beach, to simply splashing in the shallow tide pools. There is a beautiful old part of the downtown where one can sit in the plaza, listen to jazz and folk musicians, meander under the twinkling lights viewing the goods of local artisans, and choose from a variety of restaurants. There are adventures and tours to islands, quaint mountain towns to explore, and it is always an adventure to go to the downtown open market place. Mazatlan has a wonderful transportation system of buses and little open-air volkswagon bugs called “pulmonias” that make getting to and from any area easy and relatively cheap.
