There's nothing else like it! Some will say it’s 'awesome', others have called it 'amazing', the Hawaiians would say 'no ka ‘oi' (the best).
Hale No Ka ’Oi is simply the best home away from home you will find on Molokai and perhaps anywhere in the Hawaiian Islands. This is a top floor suite with stunning views over the ocean to the island of Lanai. This is a heavenly, restful retreat for the mind and body. The ideal central location of this condo is convenient, allowing you to avoid those long 45 minute trips to the east or west ends of the island.
Just a short drive from the airport and only minutes into town. The perfect central location on Molokai if you want to enjoy the white sand beaches of the west end or the lush, rugged east end.
An oasis of luxury awaits you with the blending of rich, Brazilian cherry and gleaming marble floors. The bathroom is almost sinful with its oversized, dual head, marble and glass shower and double sinks. The cherry kitchen is exquisite with granite counter tops and premium stainless steel appliances and equipped to please even the most discriminating chef.
Everything inside is absolute 'top notch', including the finest linens, house wares, electronics and European leather furnishings. This is not one of those condos that still sports 20+ year-old rattan furniture.
This is the 'Ultimate In Accommodations'.
The Master bedroom features a Cal King bed with direct access to the bath. The large loft bedroom features a Queen bed, leather loveseat and absolute privacy. The custom engineered, stainless steel, spiral staircase is a work of art by a German craftsman, Josef Linzen. Whether you are two, three or four, you will love this place. The perfect location for your honeymoon, anniversary or for any other excuse you can find!
The property is impeccably maintained and there is a large oceanfront pool. There are BBQ grills for your fresh fish or your favorite steak.
Activities abound on Molokai. This truly is nature’s playground. Kayak miles of pristine reefs, take a guided hike into the tropical beauty of the Halawa valley with its magnificent waterfall or take a journey down to historic Kalaupapa. You can ride horseback through the fields at Molokai Ranch or along miles of nearly deserted white sand beaches. This is the Hawaii of yesterday, a refreshing step back in time.
Best of all, you will meet the people of Molokai and come to understand why it’s called 'The Friendly Isle'. Walk into town on a Saturday and see the vendors with their sidewalk displays of crafts, art, fruits and vegetables.
The weather is perfect. The days are sublime and your mind will relax on island time!

Aloha, I'm Chad Slayton, the owner of Hale No Ka Oi. (Molokai Shores 330). I manage the rentals for several properties in Hawaii, but this one is my personal part-time home.
Chad Slayton purchased this condo in 2005
Molokai is unlike anywhere else in Hawaii, and owning an ocean front 'piece' of it was a dream come true.
As you can see by the pictures, this unit went through an 'extreme' renovation, and there are no other condos like it in this resort. The view are incredible, and you'll be in one of the most upscale rental homes, the island has to offer.
Our visit to Molokai was the most relaxing trip we have ever taken. Your rental was everything you described and when we decide to return...we will definitely be staying at your place. I will also pass along to family and friends your lovely accommodations. The pool was a plus. Loved every minute of our stay.
My wife and I had the pleasure of staying here. Extremely comfortable. Furnished nicely. It Wonderful views of the water and whales. Great location on the island. South shore, probably an equal distance east and west for exploring. There is a pool, but not much beach. We didn't mind the third floor. We had a terrific breeze through and did not need A/C. We met a couple of neighbors. There are full time residents living at Moloka'i Shores, all were nice. We would come back to this charming island and wonderful condo, which made our stay, in a heart beat. Mahalo Chad!!
I am always leery about vacation rentals not being as advertised, but Chad's photos and description are spot-on. We spent four nights here, and it was difficult to leave that view to explore the island! Yes, it's in a busy condo complex, yes, you can hear the neighbors, but everyone is so friendly and helpful. Do note that there is no elevator, and this is a third-floor unit, there is no A/C but the ocean breeze is to die for, and there really isn't a swimming beach on site. None of that bothered us, but some folks would fuss. The pool is lovely as are the grounds and picnic areas. I was a bit dismayed, upon arrival, by the parking areas, old cars, and exterior, but that changed quickly upon entering the condo. Chad is wonderful to deal with, and I would highly recommend renting any of his properties simply because he is so very attentive and kind.
It's actually been a year since we stayed at Chad's condo and I was just referring someone here I realized I never left a review. From start to finish Chad was easy to deal with and provided tons of info to us on what to see and do and where to go. We took our teenage twin daughters who slept in large loft bedroom and we stayed in first floor bedroom. The condo is beautiful and the views cannot be beat. We also enjoyed the pool on site. We would return to this property in a heartbeat.
We had the pleasure to stay in Chad’s condo at Molokai Shores unit for twelve days this month (Jan. 2013) for our 25th wedding anniversary. Chad was very easy to work with during the whole process. He answered immediately any questions I had before our stay. Instructions were sent prior to our arrival as to checking in and he had plenty of information in the condo about the complex and things to do in Molokai.
The condo was very clean and decorated immaculately with high end furniture. There is a king size bed downstairs and a queen size bed in the loft bedroom. We chose to sleep upstairs in the loft bedroom because to us, it was quieter. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen had all the necessary pots & pans, dishes, etc. needed to cook if you choose to do so. There were beach towels, beach chairs and a cooler which was nice to have when going to the beaches.
The view was absolutely beautiful. Waking up to seeing the ocean right outside was wonderful. We saw whales out front (you will need binoculars, which we brought), the ferry coming and going to Maui and cargo ships.
We went fishing with Hallelujah Hoe Fishing and caught some beautiful fish that we cooked that evening. Captain Clay knows his “stuff”. We caught all the fish we needed within two hours and started whale watching. We got in a pod of whales (5) that we followed for about an hour. That was a real treat.
We also did everything else that you will read about to do with the exception of the mule ride. We just decided to pass on it because of the switchbacks on the trail and the height.
All in all, we loved Molokai, Chad’s condominium and the people of Molokai. We want to return in the future and hope to stay in the beautiful condo again. Thank you Chad!!

We stayed in Chad's condo in Jan. of 2011. It is wonderfully decorated and has all of the amenities you would desire. The island is very different from it's sisters, but so charming and beautiful with it's red dirt and wonderful beaches. We drove end to end several times and off road in our Jeep, which is lots of fun.
The mule ride to Kalaupapa is great - especially the scenery when you arrive at the bottom.
Contact Chad, he is so personable. You will not be disappointed in this condo.
I stayed a week at Chad's condo and it exceeded my expectations. The kitchen is stellar, full span of appliances available. The view from the lanai is amazing. The unit was impeccably clean, airy and beautifully decorated. Elegant and comfortable! Location on Molokai is perfect, very close to town and midway between east and west side attractions.
Don't miss the mule ride, the Halawa Falls hike (arrange at Dive Shop in town), Kumu Farms farmstand, the Big Wind Kite Factory on the west side, or the book & gift shop in town.
