This place is ideal for two people or a couple with very young children. No TV but excellent NPR and wireless internet. The cabin is surrounded by sage and wild flowers. It is far enough from the highway so noises are not a problem but close enough to get to Targhee or Jackson or many other USFS access sites. Elegantly furnished and equipped, we strongly recommend the rental. Very best of all is they allow pets!!

Better than we could have hoped

Everything about this cabin was perfectly suited to our needs. The size was just right for two people and a large dog, giving us plenty of room to spread out and enjoy our holiday stay, while also serving as a great base camp for outdoor excursions. The kitchen was well stocked to make any and every meal we planned, and the bed and furniture were cozy and comfortable.It snowed twice during our stay and we awoke to find the driveway had been plowed without us even hearing them come!

All in all, I cannot say enough good things about this cabin. We drove 12 hours from Seattle to stay here and it was well worth the trip!!

We are New Hampshire hikers! Having ventured into New Mexico and Colorado, we were looking for a base from which to explore the Tetons. Quite frankly, we were daunted by Jackson Hole prices, but hoped nonetheless to make a week do-able. When we found this listing, we doubled our time ---- hiked and hiked and hiked---2 weeks instead of one-- had more tthan we could wish for to make it possible. Charming town both there and in Driggs--- the drive to jackson is the good news, not the bad news. Rent this cabin! We washed our clothes, cooked our meals, emailed our friends, and watched the sunrise each morning from the totally under-rated but equally magnificent backside of the famous peaks. We celebrated our 33rd anniversary there....it could not have been more perfect.

Comfortable Cabin. Great Location.

My husband and I stayed in the cabin for 3 nights while we visited Grand Teton NP. The cabin was in a quiet, peaceful location, with amazing views from the porch. We even saw a beautiful rainbow at sunrise over the mountains! It had the kitchen essentials and a washer and dryer which is a huge plus. The living area was cozy and beautifully decorated. We thought the cabin was a great value for it's location...we were able to enjoy dinners out in Jackson, Victor, and Driggs after exploring the Tetons during the day. We would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a quiet getaway or a home base for nearby adventures.

cozy, charming, adorable!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Ski Meister cabin for a week in October. He is a writer and was looking for a quiet place to work. He would spend the mornings working on the porch facing the beautiful views. The cabin is charming and well decorated. It is perfect for a couple. We loved staying there and the week went by too quickly. We would have stayed longer but decided to head south to catch a little bit of warmer weather. Deb, the owner, is super nice, very accommodating and easy to get ahold of. This place is a great value for its location. Don't hesitate to rent it!!

From the cabin, the drive to Grand Teton National Park takes just about 40 minutes (to the visitor center) and is well worth it! We also were able to hike in the Targhee National Forest so we didn't have to make the drive if we didn't want to but we chose to three times. Victor and Driggs are small towns and don't have a lot of frills or thrills but offer everything you need if you are truly looking for a getaway from city life. (Jackson will give you more options but is about a 30 minute drive). The grocery store in Driggs is huge and has a lot of organic/natural food options. We cooked in for almost every meal but can wholeheartedly recommend Hacienda Caujimalpa in Driggs and the Brakeman American Grill in Victor.
