In front of a beautiful section of the beach, that includes volleyball courts, is a panoramic view, that goes from Catalina Island and Palos Verdes to Malibu. It is also one of the best surfing and swimming spots in the country. The beach is exceptionally safe, clean and spacious. During the summer months, there is even a surf camp held nearby.

This house has a large living room/dining room that overlooks an unbelievable panoramic view of Manhattan Beach. Living room has beautiful brick fireplace, and even a piano. Shabby Chic furnishings are comfortable and charming. It is fully furnished, with equiped kitchen that includes everything you might need to begin cooking, as well as washer/dryer.

Living room has HD TV, DVR, VCR, and DVD player. Also,included is high speed wireless network

The living room has a raised queen size air bed and a roll away bed on request.

One vehicle parking included

Incredible location and view! Fits 4 easily, but 5+ was a bit of a challenge. Lacking in some kitchen and cleaning supplies.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway
Owner's Response: As our maid has her own cleaning supplies, so we basically keep ajax, dish soap, dishwashing soap, hand soap, and laundry detergent. The maid is supposed to keep an eye on these items, but after your comment, we will be carefully looking for anything missing.

We arrived in Manhattan Beach after spending a week visiting Sonoma/SanFrancisco/Monterey/downtown LA. This house (upstairs unit only) on the Strand was a great location situated right on the beach. The house is very well equipped with everything needed to ensure your comfort and was extremely well maintained and clean. An outdoor patio would be a great addition in the future if possible.
Beautiful sunsets and great ocean viewing from the upstairs picture window. Easy walking to several excellent restaurants including our two favs; The FishBar for dinner and The Local Yolk for breakfast. Walking along the Strand that runs directly in front of the house was great as was watching the surfers trying to catch the perfect wave. All and all we enjoyed a wonderful relaxing four days here.

Bachelorette Getaway

I rented this house for myself and 4 other women which included the bride to be. We live in CO and decided to enjoy a beach getaway. This was my first time using VRBO and I was pretty nervous. The house was exactly the way it stated. We walked out the door and on to the beach, which is exactly what we were looking for. We didn't spend much time in the house but I have to say I'm very pleased with the cost we paid and what we got. I will definitely rent this place again.

Rejuvenating

I rented this unit in Sept 2011 and decided this would be a yearly vacay for me. I just spent 4 relaxing days there and look forward to returning next year! The views are spectacular and the sound of the ocean waves crashing are priceless! John & Linda are great & helpful in local info!

A healing time

I had just moved to southern Cali but my furniture was very late in arriving so I needed somewhere to go to sleep in a real bed that was affordable and preferably on the water. I have to say that when I looked at the photos of this rental, it was not my taste. But after reading the other reviews, I was very happy to experience what I felt to be a Victorian or European situation. It's in a perfect spot, the cleanliness was beyond what I expected and the apt had every amenity that I needed. To wake to the site of the ocean and watch the surfers and the magnificent sunsets was the very healing that I needed. Will definitely go here again!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
