Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency (US Dollar) unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

Notes

  • $325 TO 1850 /Week
  • Deposits and procedures: A $300 deposit is required to reserve your week, This would then become your security deposit. After we receive this deposit, we will prepare and mail you the lease agreement, half due in one month and the balance due 30 days prior to occupancy, any lost beach tags will be deducted from your security deposit, any renter not leaving the house clean will be assessed an additional cleaning fee of $75.00 per hour.

Great place, real charm

We have rented this twice. I love the homey feel of it. It's not a cookie cutter "up and down" duplex like all over the island. Just about everything you need is there. It is nicer than the pictures as Dave has made quite a few updates since those were taken. It is private and the off street parking in front of the garage - if your car isn't too long - is great. There really isn't room to park in the garage. We like the garage for bikes and stuff. Loved the bikes - one has a baby seat. Being at the north end of the board walk it made a nice bike ride down to the other end and back and we like to bike the "Gardens" area, too.
The spiral stairs to the master suite are charming but I imagine they would be difficult if you were really large or handicapped at all. Only the private master bedroom, landing (that is where the kitchen picture was taken from), master bath (shower - no tub), and assess to the furnished sun deck are up there on the third floor. I might not recommend the spiral stairs for people with little toddlers as the top of the stairs would be hard to baracade.
The rest of the house is on the second floor, the ground floor being only garage and stairs and a very small appartment in the back which was empty when we were there.
The kids bedroom is off the center hall next to the bath and the third bedroom is off the living room in the back of the house. We didn't have children there but it has lots of space and places for them to play and there are even toys, games, kids videos,books and beach things.
There are outside stairs from the top floor deck down to the living room back door and on down to the charming little brick paved back yard, which makes it easier to get suitcases to the third floor than trying to navigate the spiral stairs with them. There is also a tiny deck, no stairs, off the kitchen in the front of the house - you can see the door in the kitchen picture. The kitchen is nice and well supplied. We love the place and the landlord is great.

I've been renting this home for 8 years and the memories it has provided for me and my children are priceless! Dave & Heidi, the owners, have become dear friends. They are no-nonsense, cool owners who are accessible and care about you and your family having a great vacation in their beachhouse. There are movies, books, bikes and personal touches like a handpainted kids bedroom in an ocean motif complete with little fish & a glow-in-the-dark sky.

I almost don't want to say too much because I hate to share our home-away-from-home with anyone else, but if you have small children, this house is for YOU.

Book it and don't even think twice about it.
Recommended for:  Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

My wife and I had a great time here. It is close to the boardwalk and the beach with several restaurants within walking distance.

Th landlords are local and available, and they are very nice people.

Great place to stay - we highly recommend it!
Recommended for:  Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Romantic Getaway

this was the perfect house for our family. we have 4 children ranging in age from 2 to 13. everything as described but better. the house is much better in person than in pix. the owner is a local business owner and stopped by briefly on the 1st day and assured us he'd be available if we encountered any problems or had any questions -- which we didn't. it's quite a rarity to find a single family home with parking in this vicinity. the beach is a block away and has a public bathroom right where you access the beach -- worth it weight in gold esp. with little ones. there is a deli on the corner for the morning paper, coffee, breakfast sandwiches etc. and a wonderful restaurant on the opposite corner w/ outside seating that we sadly didn't try until our last night of our 2 week stay. we've been coming to o.c. for 10 years and the island grill was hands down one of the best meals we have ever had during our vacations. the other bonus were the amenities this house provides. a completely separate master suite w/ it's own deck, 4 bikes, games, movies, toys, a pack and play - unbelievable. i can't say enough. the only issue we had was the spiral staircase that separates the master suite from the rest of the house. we didn't figure out until the 2nd or 3rd day that it is much easier to use the back staircase when you had to carry items between floors. we would certainly rent here again and recommend it to friends and family.
