Fort Myers Beach Condo Rental Photos and Description
Condo, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4)
Smugglers Cove Condominiums is located approximately in the middle of Estero Island, Ft. Myers Beach Florida. Its location is unique to the formation of the beach. The depth and quality of the sand fine and naturally packed, perfect for the early morning runner, towel dweller or the sandcastle architect.
Recreationally the beach offers, boating, kayaking, wave runners, parasailing, off shore and bay fishing. As a matter of fact in front of our property we have a double sandbar, one closer in and the other out a far distance. Both are easily reached and as a result of these sandbars, the surf is perfect for swimming and surf fishing. We boast some of the best surf fishing up and down the west coast of Florida.
The Island also boasts an abundance of wildlife with bird varieties like, Storks, Green & Great Blue Herons, Egrets, Roseate Spoonbills, White Ibis, Burrowing Owl, Osprey, Pelicans and more. We have Porpoise & Manatee, Rays and Horseshoe Crabs.
More than anything the beach is peaceful, restful, rejuvenating. This is a perfect spot for the family vacation. Easy pace, away from the hustle and bustle of other destinations. Here you enjoy the sun, the lapping surf, fine sand, and gorgeous sunsets.
Our condominium has just been renovated for the 2010-2011 season. We have created an upscale, welcoming and comfortable setting likened to that of a five star resort. In our travels, we have stayed in many rental properties. Most are furnished as a rental, some are furnished like a home. We go back to those furnished like a home and we believe that most would feel and want the same thing.
If you choose to dine out there are restaurants from casual to fine dining close by to twenty minutes away. Should you cook in note that the kitchen is fully equipped with all new appliances, cookware, utensils, glass and dinnerware. There is a full service grocery store (Publix) a stones throw away and freshly caught gulf shrimp is just up by the bridge in the marina just before coming onto the island.
The only thing left is to have some fun. Enjoy your stay.

My wife and I are working professionals residing in Houston, TX. Marsha is a nursing home administrator for a large not for profit facility and I am a small business owner. We love to travel and our passion takes us the world over. However when we just want to get away, unwind and rest, we love to come down here to the beach and forget about things for a while. I've been coming to this beach for approximately 36 years now. Let's face it, man is attracted to water, and frankly depending on one's circumstances any beach can be wonderful. Well, I/we have been to many sun spots around the world and yes most are quite beautiful. Some with deep sand, others white or pink, the water varies in shades of blue & green. One thing about most beaches though is the apparent need to facilitate or add entertainment of some kind, like we need a distraction. This is why I love this place. It's sand, surf and me and that combination spells perfect.
My parents purchased this condominium in 1979 pre-construction. Ft. Myers Beach was a relatively unknown destination and the beach was just starting to truly develop. My parents wanted this property for the family and for the most part did not rent it except to the occasional friend. They have since passed on. We decided that we wanted to keep this condominium for the foreseeable future as we love coming here and want our family to continue to enjoy it also. Our decision to rent it is to help offset the expenses associated with the ownership.
We love to walk or run up and down the several miles of beach here on this island. We may do so several times a day. Our condo is on the 5th floor of a 6 story building and the views are wonderful. Mornings begin with an run of the beach followed by breakfast and hot coffee out on the lanai watching for the porpoise run moving to the north. The days are filled with laying on the beach or out by the pool reading a good book until falling asleep. I'll on occasion surf fish off the beach in front of us and take the keepers from the surf to the grill located under the shade of the Tiki Hut on the property. Nothing beats a freshly caught grilled fish dinner. Those caught that are not keepers I flip into the waiting clapping bill of a friendly pelican that is always close by. The back bay offers boating or kayaking just a few minutes behind us. We love to kayak in the back bay where the water is still, the bird life outstanding and the spotting of Manatee normal. Some of our best memories have been back there. The day ends as it begins for us. We never tire of the sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico. They are simply breath taking and from the lanai, with my wife and a good bottle of wine a perfect ending to a perfect day.
