Great price, OK area

For only 100 pounds a night in London, this apartment is a great deal. It has a nice, but small, living room and a full kitchen that allows you to shop at the supermarket like a local and make your own meals, saving a lot of money on food costs. It looks exactly like the pictures on this site. However, there are a couple drawbacks that one should be aware of before renting this apartment to really know if it's for you or not. There is literally nothing to see or do in this immediate neighborhood. There is not one nice restaurant either. You will have to take the tube to see or do anything. The Latimer Road tube station is in a somewhat rough area; nothing too bad but it's surrounded by high-rise low income housing. After two days I switched to using the Ladbroke Grove station and I recommend anyone else do the same. The walk to the Ladbroke Grove station takes one through a nicer residential neighborhood. The only real big supermarket nearby is the Salisbury's adjacent to the Ladbroke Grove station. Be aware though, that the station is almost a one mile walk from the apartment. This apartment is a good fit for either a couple or a single person on a budget as the apartment is a great deal for the price. However, considering one must walk almost one mile each way to and from the Ladbroke Grove tube station, I would not recommend this apartment to an older person or anyone not wanting to do a lot of walking and commuting by the tube. I stayed here recently and saved a lot of money and enjoyed "living like a local." Personally, I would consider staying here again but I enjoy walking and don't mind spending a while each day on the tube getting where I need to go. For me, the choice of renting this apartment versus spending more money on a cramped bad hotel room in a more central, happening area was a good choice. Like I said, I'm younger, enjoy walking, and enjoy saving money by doing some of my own cooking. It's not for everyone though.

Owner's Response: All these details are on the information part of the web site. Its an 8 min walk to 3 different tube stations and a 10 min walk to Portobello which is full of some of the most exclusive restaurants, or a £6 taxi ride there. There is a Tesco supermarket being built at the end of my road, a 1 min walk and there are several great restaurants 1 min from the flat and in Westfield which is 10 mins away.
