The house sleeps one family of six people and includes: bath towels and beach towels, washer/dryer, comfy beds, bedding with fresh linens, dishwasher, DirecTV cable, DVD player, Ipod dock, large supply of family movies; books; puzzles, games; ceiling fans; Weber gas grill; beach chairs for adults, child-sized chairs, sand toys, and clam rake. House Amenities and Things to Do in Davis Park::: Amenities: Internet, Washer and dryer, dishwasher, microwave, coffeemaker, blender, toaster. Dining table comfortably seats 6 people plus additional breakfast bar with stools, Weber outdoor barbecue grill with propane gas supplied, outdoor picnic table and shaded bench seating, beach chairs, children's sand toys, utility wagon, large front deck, small private side deck. Satellite TV, Stereo, TV, VCR, DVD, Ipod dock, family-friendly movies and CD music provided, ceiling fans. All towels and sheets/bedding provided. This lovely house is very well maintained by owner.
Beach Activities: Ocean Swimming, swimming in the bay, sunbathing, clamming, fishing, beach walks, kite flying, building a sandcastle, watching sunsets over the bay, barbecuing on the deck.
Activities for Kids: There is a National Seashore nature center that offers children's programs, nature walks and free canoe tours. Movies for very young children are shown weekly at the community church. The community has a small playground with swings.
About Davis Park: : Davis Park is a quiet, privately owned community that is reached by ferry from Patchogue (not Bayshore!); there are no cars on the island.
In 'town' at the ferry dock, there is one restaurant, one bar, one snack stand for a barefoot walk for lunch, one small convenience store, and a very small playground area with a slide for young children. There is a National Seashore nature and activity area with programs for children within walking distance, with canoe tours of the bay for adults. The community of Davis Park is perfect for a relaxing summer vacation at an uncrowded beach.
The 'Casino' restaurant (no gambling) and bar has live music on their deck over the ocean on weekends, or you can stop by for a drink and dance to their jukebox or DJ any evening. The only other nightlife is walking to the store for an ice cream cone ....
