Located just outside of Port Orchard, near the Southworth ferry landing, Candle Shore Cottage is only 40 minutes by ferry from Seattle or 35 just minutes from Tacoma via the Narrows Bridge. Only minutes away yet you will feel years away as you enjoy your peace at this wonderful waterfront retreat.

Just far enough to get away... Candle Shore Cottage is less than 60 miles from SeaTac airport. It is only a 40 minute ferry ride from West Seattle and there is also a passenger only ferry direct to downtown Seattle. The cottage is less than 1 mile from the Southworth ferry landing and is also accessible via the Tacoma Narrows bridge.

This cottage was everything I had hoped it would be. What a wonderful respite, up close and personal with Puget Sound wildlife and neighborhood canine visitors during their daily beachcombing routine. The owner is a very gracious host and extremely accommodating, even providing freshly ground Starbucks coffee for breakfast! Perfect for one or two people. Short distance from the Southworth Ferry, so very accessible. Cozy and warm. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Great central location to venture out to see other Washington sites. Can't say enough and can't wait to go back! Thanks, Chuck!

Perfect Getaway

I must say that this is the perfect little place for lovers, though I was not there with my second best I was there with my daughter and we really enjoyed ourselves. We saw harbor seals, eagles (every day) and even had the opportunity to see rare white pelicans. The cottage was comfortable, offered beautiful views of Blake Island and surrounding area's across the sound. The cottage was clean, and had all the linens needed. We were there for 2 weeks and would love to return. All our guest we had come for a visit just loved the place, we had a nice dinner party one evening and a bon fire another evening that everyone had a great time at. Thank you for a beautiful home away from home.

This is the perfect retreat if you want peace and quiet in a country setting, but would like to be able to visit Seattle and do some city things, too. Close enough to some hiking or boating activities. Clean, comfortable, great for taking walks or sitting on the pier contemplating life. The only thing missing is a fireplace and a cozy fire at night, you'll have to settle for the wall heater.

Enchanted Cottage

It was only a two night getaway, but felt so relaxed - as if we had been away a week - yet the time flew by so quickly. It was absolutely delightful - Eagles flying overhead, seals on the beach and scenery to enrich the soul. What a cozy, romantic little cottage with everything equipped - just bring yourselves. We walked, picked blackberrries and plums and relaxed to the max. This trip revived our relationship - it was wonderful,.

Grandparents week

This place was great for not only us, but our two grandchildren also. (ages 13 & 9) The kids spent a lot of the time searching under rocks and walking the beach when the tide was out... We were siting at the table one morning and two dear came into the yard to pay us a visit... Great time had by all.....
