The house is pretty spacious and also has plenty of Garage storage room for any outdoor equipment you might need to store during your stay. It is not on the lake itself, but just accross the street with nice views of Lake Magician. We spent most of our week there on the lake and found it suprisingly quiet and very nice. We used the public boat launch just up the road and it was very smooth and had a nice pier. The launch accross the street looked like it might need a little work as it is uneven and does not have a pier. Magician Lake is not overly crowded like other lakes we have stayed at. It is a perfect getaway if you are looking to really relax. The nearest big town is about 30 minutes away, St. Joseph. We really like how many kid friendly activities it has to offer. The Silver Beach in St. Joseph was wonderful and there is a nearby 'Sprinkling Pad' that has water shooting up from the ground and large stands that also shoot water out onto the center- very cool. There were also a couple of museums for kids and even an indoor carousel. The house does not really have a yard, but it does have a nice outdoor fire pit which we enjoyed. We recommend any future renters get some yard mosquito spray as well as personal bug repellant as the mosquitos did get the better of us. Overall, we were happy with our stay there. We had a couple of issues upon arrival, but the owner was very responsive and worked to resolve them. He was always available to take our calls and help with any questions we had. He also provided us with a lot of information about the area and gave us good directions. There was plenty of toilet paper, paper towels and cleaning products as well as a clothes washer and dryer which was a big plus. We would stay there again and would refer to friends or family.
