Wonderfully Relaxing! A BEAUTIFUL Place!!

Hello!

We just got back from Maine and I realize I never wrote in your notebook. Thank you so much for giving us such a wonderful family vacation!! We had so much fun and came back fully recharged and rejuvenated. It is the first time I have heard my husband say he wished I had booked two weeks because one wasn't enough. We loved your cabin! It had everything we needed and more. The boys loved sleeping in the loft and playing pool in the basement with their dad. But, I think what they loved the most was feeding the chipmunks every morning off of the back porch. Waking up to the loons was delightful!

We did so much in just a few days. With your recommendation, we were sure to use Jack's Air Service. Jack was enjoyable and the boys and their dad had a fantastic time. We hiked Elephant Mountain and saw the B-52 crash site. We went to Spencer Pond and Ragged Lake to fish and to Lily Bay State Park to swim. We went to the Birches and took a Moose Safari ride led by Jim, a fellow Philadelphian. The last day it rained, but we went to Greenville and walked through their Historical Museum. The women who was there was great and had the boys do a scavenger hunt, searching for clues to her 25 questions. They never realized they were learning. Then we decided to try the West Outlet and Indian Pond. We were catching perch and small mouth constantly. They weren't big, but the boys were just happy catching something. Most early evenings were spent back at the cabin swimming and feeding the ducks while I fixed dinner. I have a great shot of the boys building castles in the sand, while a duck looks at them from your dock.

Thanks for the hospitality! We really did enjoy ourselves!!

Your cabin is GORGEOUS!! We came to Maine for snowmobiling and got soo much more. The trails were very easy to get too, the lake was frozen so it was great to sled right out the back of the house :) There was a family for 4 deer that came to visit every day making for an incredible experience being that close to nature. The house was immaculate!! The neighbor next door was super sweet. I will be recommending this cabin to all my friends and I sincerely look forward to renting this cabin again. Thanks for letting us enjoy your little piece of heaven :)

January Winter Stay 2011

The house accommodates a big group well. The snowmobile trails were easily found from the main road or by cutting across the ice to the state park. The kitchen was well equipped to cook at home and the place was very clean. I would definitely recommend the place to anyone. We are looking forward to returning again soon in this winter.

We had a very enjoyable 4 night stay. The view from the deck and dock is incredible. The log house has all the conveniences of home and is very well maintained. We also enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. If you are interested in seeing the beauty of Moosehead Lake but still want to have all the conveniences of home, we would strongly recommend you stay here.
