Completely Refurbished 2006, 1/bed, sleeps 4

This stylish one bedroom apartment has just been completely remodeled in 2005. It's kitchen features, beautiful granite counter tops, stainless steel Bosch appliances and sink, with filtered water on both the refrigerator and sink. The cabinets are fully stocked with everything a chef could need.

The bedroom has all brand new furniture and a spacious queen size bed. The living room has a comfortable pull out leather queen size sofa that can comfortably sleep two more, with a matching double recliner. Both the bedroom and living room have ceiling fans. The bedroom has pocket doors, allowing for privacy at night with the ability to have an open floor-plan by day. There are numerous closets to store all your belongings.

The bathroom has a spacious walk-in shower and outside the bathroom there is a second separate vanity with a sink.

All walls are painted in soothing light-colored earth tones. Beautiful seaside prints hang on the walls.

There are ceramic tiles throughout so you don't have to worry about sandy feet.

A spacious screened balcony is the perfect place to watch the sunrise over the ocean or watch your favorite golfer at the first hole, located right behind the building.

A brand-new, generously sized, front loading washer and dryer right inside the apartment is a great convenience.

The apartment is on the third floor which maximizes the beautiful view while still being wheelchair accessible due to the elevator right down the hall.

Amenities: The apartment is completely furnished with plenty of linens and towels provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator with ice-maker and filtered water, toaster, toaster oven, coffee maker, small food processor, and a blender for a refreshing frozen margarita.

The central A/C gives you the option of cooler air or you can open the windows and with the front screen door you'll have a great cross-breeze to enjoy the ocean air and the sound of the waves crashing. The brand-new washer & dryer, iron and ironing board means you can always look fresh and pressed. Brand-new tropical looking ceiling fans in living room and bedroom provide a great breeze. Two Color TV's and a DVD/VCR provide additional entertainment. A full-sized stereo is also available. The screened patio has a table and chairs perfect for alfresco dining. Beach chairs, towels and blanket means you're all set to enjoy a day on the beach, located just across the golf course. There is wireless high speed internet FREE.

The resort features 3 swimming pools (heated in winter), 10 tennis courts, 1 racquetball/squash court, 2 paddle ball courts, a 6-hole miniature golf course and a 9-hole, par-27 executive golf course (longest hole 175 yards - shortest hole 70 yards) which is free in the Off-Season and has a $2 green fee from about Dec 20 thru a week after Easter. The resort also has its own 4-Star restaurant, Kristy's on the Ocean which is located next to the largest of the 3 swimming pools. Also featured next to the pool is a pool-side Tiki Bar which is open for food and drinks about 4 or 5 days a week depending on the weather, a 'kiddie pool' for small children, a hot-tub, a Bocce court, and an exercise room with sauna and shower facilities.

Activities: Golf: If Ocean Village's 9-hole golf course is not enough for you there are 17 championship golf facilities consisting of 21 separate courses (mostly Fazio and Nicklaus designed) all within a 40 minute drive.

Ocean Village Resort is located on South Hutchinson Island. Just two hours from Orlando and Disney World. Is only one hour south to West Palm Beach International Airport and two hours to Miami International? You are just steps to a beautiful private beach where all water activities are available. Surf fishing is a big hit attraction. A park like golf course running through out the premises surrounds Ocean Village. The Tiki bar at the main pool serves drinks and food, with a live music on weekends. Bring your Tennis rackets you can play day or night, or take lessons from our pro. Our very own four-star restaurant will satisfy you with romantic meals by the ocean. Taste Paradise!

Other Activities: anything to do with the ocean

Golf: Prices range from $15 to $35 for 18 holes with a cart during the off-season. In-season prices are about double. All of these courses are open to the public.

Fishing: There is great fishing for Bluefish, Pompano and other species right on our beach during the winter months. There is also excellent fishing at the local bridges and jetties.

Elliott Museum - 20 minutes south on Route A1A

Manatee Observation Area - 5 minutes away in downtown Fort Pierce - great place to see live manatees (best viewing in winter) It's free!

Disneyworld/Universal Studios - approximately 2 hours away

Kennedy Space Center - approximately 1 hour 45 minutes north

Horseback Riding on the Beach - offered at the Frederick Douglass Memorial Park about 3-4 miles south of Ocean Village on the 1st, 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month $30, call (561)489-4FUN

Fort Pierce Jai Alai - located on King's Highway about a mile north of the FL Turnpike exit at Fort Pierce (Seasonal).

Ski: Off-Track Betting is also featured here.

Area: The closest international airport is West Palm Beach which is about an hour away.

Our favorite local breakfast place is The Captain's Galley located just across the Bridge on the corner of A1A and US1. It features classic dinner fare at reasonable prices with a fast and friendly service.

For dinner there is Kristy's right across the first hole of the golf course with a dining room that overlooks the ocean. Outside the complex there is Chuck's Seafood overlooking the bay on A1A and numerous other restaurants within a short drive.

A Great Stay

We stayed at this lovely condo for the month of February and we were very pleased with the unit.
When friends visited, they commented on the beautiful view of the ocean and the first green of the golf course,then they complimented the landlady's choice of decorating. All were absolutely correct! We felt at home in the condo which is tastefully (matching our taste at home) decorated and supplied with everything we needed for our stay.
We enjoyed our daily walk around the Ocean Village complex and many visits to the beach and the nearby Aruba pool. Since this was our fourth stay at OV,we were also glad to reconnect with friends who were escaping winter and enjoying the complex as well.
We are looking forward to another stay in this unit next winter and would recommend it to anyone who want a clean,well designed unit with a great view for an enjoyable vacation.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway

Beautiful Condo with Ocean View

We loved our stay in this condo. Everything you could possibly need is supplied ~ from wine glasses to beach towels! Very comfortable for a couple to stay. It's a great location with good restaurants close by and plenty of activities like deep sea fishing.

Outstanding Vacation

This was one of my favorite vacations. We'd never stayed at Ocean Village so we were a little nervous about our visit. The condo was perfect. Everything we could've possibly needed was stocked in the condo. The condo was clean and we could smell the freshness of the linens upon our arrival. The Ocean Village community is beautiful and very well-maintained. The landscaping was absolutely beautiful. There were several days that we were the only two people on the beach for miles, which is exactly the escape we were hoping for. The pool was very nice, as was the fitness room. The tiki bar was nice but the bartender needs additional training. We purchased a Long Island Iced Tea and was unable to drink it because it was prepared incorrectly. If this was the only thing we had to worry about - we did well! This was a fabulous vacation and we hope to return again very soon. Adela was absolutely wonderful and she made sure we were comfortable with the transaction and followed up by calling to check on us. She's outstanding and we will definitely contact her for our future needs! Thank you!

February Getaway in Hutchinson Island

This was our fifth year and once again we have found a home away from home. The owner has everything needed to enjoy our time, we just need to buy groceries. The condo is very clean and comfortable and the view of the golf course and being able to see the ocean is a plus. It is a two minute walk to the beach and the first tee. Also two minutes to the Tiki Bar, Restaurant and pool. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this condo to anyone and the owner is very accommodating.

Ocean Village Condo

This apartment is tastefully decorated and impecable clean. The kitchen is gorgeous and fully equipped with high end appliances and utensils. The view from the balcony is a delight and the facilities of the Village are also very peaceful and relaxing, We highly recommend this unit and we'll comeback to to enjoy it again very soon.
