Newly remodeled, 60' of private frontage on Lower Herring Lake, sandy beach, gradual drop-off, new private dock w/ ladder, new raft, with access (parking pass) by boat or car to 2 Miles of beautiful, private beach on Lake Michigan (see photos). Notice the lack of development on the shoreline. This is pristine, undeveloped beach, which Jerry Dennis said in the June 2006 Traverse Magazine article,The Greatest Walkabout, 'It is surely one of the most pristine beaches in the world, broad and clean, with elaborate back dunes blending into forests...saved from development...' We are 1/4 mile from the paved road, very quiet and peaceful. We also have a 2+ bedroom cottage on the lake for rent just up the shore. 12 French doors overlook the lake. Beautiful cherry wood floors, granite counters, new deck, satellite TV and phone. Watch postcard perfect sunsets over either lake. We are 6 miles south of Frankfort, 5 miles north of Arcadia.

Gorgeous beaches and views, very nice house, totally equipped with over 50 movies, full kitchen etc. Mr Turner was great to work with, refunded our deposit several days before we left.

The house was absolutely beautifully decorated and fully equipped. We had five couples with plenty of room. Petes easy going personality made it a pleasure to deal with him. He was kind enough to call while we were there to make sure we had everything we needed and to recommend restaurants and different sights to see. We would love to come back.

Restful, Beautiful, Best Vacation I've Had

That was incredible. Absolutely incredible. I can say without hesitation that that was the best vacation I've ever been on. Thank you SO much for renting that house to us!

Just a quick summary: we kayaked to the lake the first two days (it was chilly) and then it was pretty bad on Monday so we went to Traverse City. On Tuesday we discovered the canoe. I have never canoed before so I had my doubts...it was more fun that kayaking for some reason and we did it every day after that. We saw probably 10 people on the beach the entire time (and we spent about 17 hours on that beach). We read, slept and ate and took advantage of the amazing kitchen three full meals a day (which was better than restaurants to be honest). We went to "The Cool Spot" in Frankfort every day for ice cream and watched the sun set over the breakwater.

It was restful and quiet. It was amazing :-)

Pete was great, I'm sure we'll be in touch with him next year. This isn't one of those vacations you never take again!

Wonderful escape!!

I recently rented this beautiful cottage. The cottage was fully equipped w/ everything imaginable, the views are breathtaking, and the owner was absolutely wonderful to work with. I would recommend this place 50x's over to anyone. It is probaly the most beautiful area of MI I've ever seen, and local town people are so friendly. I found great relaxation and plenty of peace and quiet.

This is the one of the best vacation homes I've ever stayed in. I vacation a lot and it doesn't get any better than this. I'll be back for sure.
