This is a second story apartment above a garage. The walls are nice logs that give the apartment a nice warm and cozy feeling. Walk down a path and you are on a sand beach with a beautiful view of Schoodic and Black Mountains and a lovely pond. There is a breakfast bar and a picnic table inside for dining. A hanging single seat rattan swing adds comfort. In the same 'courtyard' is a large building for the owner and another rental apartment.

This is located in the quaint town of Sullivan Maine. You can see both Schoodic Mountain and Black Mountain. The walls of the cabin are nice wood logs that give a warm cozy feeling to the cabin apartment.

Additional information about rental rates

  • $450 week
  • We considered Friday, Saturday, and Sunday weekend nights. Holidays will also be charged at the weekend night price. Once the fee is determined, we require 1/2 down and this in a non-refundable fee unless we can rent the space. The balance is due at the time of arrival. A $75 cleaning fee will be assessed if the apartment is left unusually dirty at the time it is vacated.
    Apr. 30-May 31 $450 per week.
    June 1-Sept. 30 $450 per week.
    Oct 1-Nov 1 $395 per week.
  • We have another building on the site with another apartment. It makes it nice for people who want to vacation together, but don't want to live together.

Notes: We have a horseshoe pit, a paddle boat, a canoe, and a rowboat. The boats have life jackets available also. If a boat is chosen as part of the package, the rent is $50 per week on the boats. The beach allows for wonderful swimming and fishing. Little Tunk Pond is stocked by the state of Maine with Brook Trout which makes a nice fishing spot. Perfect for a flyfisherman!! The local mountains are a wonderful climb. We are only 20 minutes from the Winter Harbor part of Acadia National Park.

Amenities: Full kitchen. Paddle boat, row boat, and canoe available for $50 per week each. Activities:This is about 45 minutes from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. It is also about 45 minutes from Acadia National Park in Winter Harbor. There are 2 other large ponds nearby for swimming, boating, and fishing

Our sand beach is beautiful and there is also access to Big Tunk Lake. Area: This is rural Maine with easy access to Bar Harbor. The closest town is about 15 minutes away. There are two convenience stores available within 10 minutes of the apartment. A local subway can provide quick meals as well as some nice local restaurants. One even makes homemade bread. Schoodic Point is a part of Acadia National Park and is just 20 minutes away. In the next town you can see reversing Tidal Falls, fine dining, and wonderful seafood, including lobsters. There is a nice Antiques Store, a theater for children on Tuesdays that is free to the public, a local Winery with free sampling and tours, and lots of hiking, swimming, and relaxing.

This pond is stocked with Brook trout by the state of Maine. Springtime is great for fly fishermen as well as those who like to fish with bobbers or lures.
