Firefly Cottage is truly the place for a relaxing and fun vacation. Situated on the shores of 266 acre Hobb's Pond, this crystal clear lake offers enjoyable swimming, boating and great fishing. Our charming cottage sits 100 feet from the water in a quiet, private setting under beautiful trees. It is only a ten minute drive to Camden Harbor with it's many fine shops, restaurants and galleries.
The cottage is decorated with braided rugs and comfortable furnishings. Two bedrooms upstairs with pine floors, one with a queen bed. Two twins in the other. It will comfortably sleep four. Full bath with tub and shower. The living room is furnished with soft, comfortable furniture for relaxing. Our lake side deck is a great place to unwind.
Hobb's Pond is a spring fed lake offering great swimming. Fish and wildlife abound in and around the lake. Loons, turtles, ducks, frogs, chipmunks and geese are daily sightings. If you are lucky, you may see a bald eagle, osprey or hear the call of an owl.
Unplug, unwind and enjoy family and friends. Views from the shore are beautiful. Sunrises are gorgeous. Great deck next to the lake offers comfy seating. Stairs into the lake for easy access. Great place to watch the kids and wildlife. Drink your morning coffee by a still lake while you listen to the loons.
Summer brings a dizzying choice of things to do. Climb a mountain, visit a lighthouse, sail on a schooner, go antiquing, shop at a craft fair or simply nap in our hammock while you listen to the loons. Acadia National Park is a delightful day trip. Several museums are also located in our area. You will be delighted with the antics of the chipmunks and hummingbirds.
