The beach is always the best part

We travel with our mini schnauzer so finding nice beach accommodations can be difficult. We knew from the pictures that the cottage was casually decorated and that's fine but it wasn't very nice. Cupboard door handles were broken, some furniture was dirty, and there was a stain or badly cleaned up spill in the 2Q BR carpet. We supplied a full list to management.
Besides that, this cottage comes with just about everything you need except a patio umbrella. We like to sit and relax on the deck and watch the ocean and everything that's going on but since the deck was in full sun from about 10am on that made it impossible to do especially with us just coming down from the north so that we'd burn to a crisp very quickly. All the other cottages around us and the other locations had patio umbrellas so I know it's possible to keep one on premise. I do realize that they are something that get broken in the strong winds but it seems like a cost of doing business when you're renting your beach property. There were some broken ones there that we cobbled together and the owner did supply a new umbrella but it was not a patio umbrella and was so cheap that the minute we opened it it turned inside out. A complete waste of money.
If they cleaned it up, fixed the things that were broken, and supplied a real patio umbrella then it would be worth going back to. It is in a great location, that really can't be beat, but as it is we won't be returning.
