Mixed Review

Pros:
1) The sandy beach is right outside your window. We were able to watch a three-year old playing in the sand from the living room, while allowing us to have an infant napping in a bedroom.
2) The area is away from the crowds. A lot of the time we felt we had the beach all to ourselves.
3) Upgraded kitchen, bathroom and floors are nice. There’s a private patio area which was also nice.
Cons:
The sofas were terrible. I had read a prior review on another website where the man commented that the two couches should have been thrown out. I was hoping that the management had listened to this man's review by the time we checked in. Unfortunately, we, too, were stuck with the same shabby couches. The couch cushions have absolutely no shape to them anymore. The couches are like those in a students' dorm room or maybe a $39 hotel. There is a slipcover on them which slides off every time anyone sits on the couch. With 6 of us, the slipcover is always falling off. I did not expect to spend precious vacation time fixing two couch slipcovers 10 times a day, not to mention constantly seeing the dirty old couch underneath. The rest of the house has many quality elements but the couches do not live up to the establishment’s motto of "quality and affordable". From the wonderful pictures, I expected myself to be sitting on the couch and looking out onto the ocean. But since we moved in, I sat on the patio plastic chairs or went to the bedroom to sit on the bed, avoiding the couch overall. The sofas are so old and formless, we know it
couldn't possibly be that clean. I can't say the shoddiness of the couches ruined our vacation, but it greatly detracted from our experience at the house.
I did write the manager contact in their handbook, who replied promptly, telling me that he no longer worked there and that he had copied my e-mail to the current manager. I did not get a reply from the current manager. The former manager was cordial, but basically said that we were getting a great deal for being right on the beach. I do think we got a good deal for a beach front. But if we had known we'd be sitting on such shoddy sofas, we would not have booked the place, no matter the rent.
FYI: The water right at the property is rocky. You have to walk a little ways to get to sandy bottom swimming.
