The Hale Mauka “The House Above” is a direct beachfront vacation home on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii and offers commanding views from one end of Hauula bay to the other with the beautiful Koolau Mountains beyond. This is a spacious (1,500+ sf living area) two bedroom, two bath second floor duplex home with porcelain tile floors in the living area and wall to wall carpet in the bedrooms. The Hale Mauka features a complete, large and open, modern kitchen with a breakfast bar, sealed top stove/range, microwave, full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, and all the cooking utensils you need to prepare complete meals. The living area is light and airy with tropical-style furniture and enjoys breathtaking ocean views. There are two three-person couches for your comfort in addition to an adjacent dining area with seating for up to six. We are located approximately 45 minutes from Honolulu International Airport on the North East coast of Oahu...where the Ko’olau Mountains touch the Pacific Ocean. Our community of single family homes, small shops, and quaint restaurants is very different from the high rise retail/ tourist center of Waikiki.   • For bookings of: Nightly:
    3 nights or more $249.99
    5 nights or more $224.99
    7 nights or more $199.99

    We charge a flat rate of $2,100.00 for reservations covering Christmas or New Year's Holiday. This rate covers up to 7 nights. Additional nights are billed at the normal nightly rate. Christmas reservations must vacate by December 29 and New Years reservations cannot arrive earlier than December 29. Reservations which include both Christmas and New Years are billed a flat rate of $4,200.00 and cover up to 14 nights. Additional nights are billed at the normal rate.
  • All rates quoted are based upon four (4) person occupancy and are charged based upon the number of nights you stay.

    Absolute minimum requirement for booking a reservation is three (3) nights.

    Minimum requirement for Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving, Easter and BYU Graduation (Spring) is 7 nights.

    Minimum requirement for Memorial Day, Labor Day and Fourth of July is 5 nights.

    Add $15.99 daily charge for each additional guest over four (4) person occupancy up to a maximum of six (6) people, including children over 1 year of age.

    One (1) parking stall is provided per vacation home. Extra parking may be ordered through our secure online reservations system

    Add a one-time, non-refundable, $100.00 cleaning fee to all reservations.

We have operated as Hale Koolau LLC for nearly a decade, however prior to this change of entity we operated the business as sole proprietors, accommodating thousands of guests over the years. We are a member of the Better Business Bureau of Hawaii with an A+ rating, member of the Hawaii Chamber of Commerce, and have an 'excellent' rating on TripAdvisor. Guests who stay with us get more than just a place to sleep at night, they get their own beach house on the North Shore of Oahu.
